Barry almost died as a child when he was badly burned and got gangrene due to no hospitals nearby to treat him. He said in an interview that he had only about 20 minutes to live when they finally were able to treat him. After he left the hospital he did not speak a word for two years. God gave him back his words and now he has shared them with the world. God gave him a beautiful gift which he shared with his brothers.
Be sure to check out their other hits including "Opportunities (let's make lots of money)". I think you should also check out the Human League, their first hit "Don't You Want Me" and their last hit "Human".
Im an interview Maurice's daughter, Samanther said she believes her father wrote this for her as he used to call he Dandelion as a child. It was Maurice singing lead.
They left Australia and moved back to the UK in their teens , the UK 🇬🇧 is where they found international fame and then hit the States where they exploded 🎉
This was a cool tune. I loved Spin Dr's when I heard this album. Got slap bass, unexpected blistering solo, cool lyrics. Dude had something wrong with his throat and they slid off grid pretty quick
Fabulous Bee Gees and their amazing harmonies ❤ love Robin and his gorgeous voice and beautiful smile ❤ love all their songs and it would be hard to choose just one ❤❤
Maurice was still 53 and Robin was still 62 when they died because they were born in December of '49 and died respectively in January 2003 and May 2012.
Should be Australian national anthem it says everything sung wonderfully rip Judith you and your voice are missed we'll done Bruce Woodley for writing this song if you agree let me know
You asked about how big these guys were in the 70's.... They were so big that radio station dj's got tired of playing them and would actually have "BG's free" weekends where they would refuse to play any of their music. That's never happened to any other band, ever 😎
Hardly anyone ever comments about how gorgeous Barry is in this. If I’d never seen this before, didn’t know who they were, and he popped up, I’d be like “Who dat?!”
They never did this song live. Maurice said, 'Although we all loved 'Fanny' and it was fun to do we could never do it live. It was a B*t*h to sing.' By the way Fanny is short for the ladies name, Frances, today most say, Fran, if they shorten it.
