One more question, do you recall the front (not the sides or the cylinder head ones) just the front timing cover bolts size by any chance? I read somewhere they were 6 X 16.
Iam currently having the same exact problem with my 2005 Town Car. I have no idea what is wrong or how to fix it. At speeds 50-60 the car starts to jerk, sputter, shake while driving. Service engine light came on. On Saturday i got a P306 code cylinder #6 was misfiring (according to cpu diagnostic tester) so i changed the spark plug and coil pack with a brand knew plug and a brand new coil pack. It stopped sputtering at idle and smoothed out for ONLY ONE DAY. ONE DAY LATER The car started shaking and misfiring again. I tested it and it gave a cylinder 1 misfire code 🤦🏾♂️. The car was shaking like crazy, jerking, Service engine light came on all over again. So Yesterday i replaced only the spark plug in cylinder 1 with a new spark plug. Currently the car has smoothed out somewhat. It does not shake at idel however when i drive at speeds of 50 mph the engine starts sputtering and shaking like in this video. When i drive faster it stops and feels smooth. Why does it only shake at 50 mph? Why? What makes this happed. I keep replacing spark plugs over and over to no avail.
A/C just took it out SMOG - To in my opinion do it right the headers have to come off and have the air lines cut and welded closed. Remove lines under car. Use belt as listed.
Fast forward a few years, and Craftsman has improved quality at lower prices, and Masterforce has become Menards branded workhorse hand tools. Even harbor freight has become a favorite of professional mechanics, over Lowe's and Home Depot, due to prioritizing exclusivity over customer convenience. Amazon is America's tool store now.
Yo how is that ac/smog delete belt setup workiNg for you. I see the results ribs of the belt are not grabbing the water pump pulley. Any over heating problems or everything good. Doing this exact setup rn
Got the same problem on cylinder 7 from a coolant leak from bad intake gasket(I think😁). Bars leak fixed the leak but coolant had already gone inside the spark plug hole AGAIN. So I just need to replace the spark plug/coil and hopefully im good.
@@honchoryanc well when I bought the car 6 months ago the coolant leaked out of a tiny hole in between the intake manifold and engine next to cylinder 8. It flooded the spark plug holes and caused misfires in several cylinders. I replaced all 8 spark plugs and coils and the problem went away. But having not fixed the leak it started overheating as coolant continued to escape. That's when I put bars leak professional in the coolant reservoir and the coolant level has remained the same level since. So I will find out this week if replacing the spark plug fixes it, if not I'll replace the coil. But with coolant no longer leaking I should be good after that. Unless I floor it to redline on highway it's seems to make a hissing sound like maybe the seal is braking and letting pressure out and then re-seals itself. I'll find out tomorrow
Yep, just got bad gas at walmart in stillwater oklahoma and immediately after, my car is misfiring and shaking, check engine light is on now and it reads 2nd cylinder misfire.
Was not difficult, removing lines requires large SAE wrenches. Tensioner is fine. My system was not pressurized. So remove pressure "at professional shop" inhaling fumes is actually dangerous though.
@@honchoryanc ah good to hear that, thanks. When you say pressurized system you mean AC gas? I think mine is empty too, i guess if i press schrader valve and it does not hiss is empty?
@@honchoryanc and what about the belt? Which one did you use? I removed the smog pump and now contemplating to remove AC too as it’s not functioning at all..
I have a 122 set in a black Craftsman carry case. Got for Christmas in the 90's. Maybe used 3 or 4 times. 3 ratchets 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" with 6 and 12 points metrick and standard deep and shallow sockets with a G on them. 12 combo wrenches, metrics and standard. Stamped Made in USA with the "V" on them. Very clean like new. Home use only. For sale. Make offer!
Sure but menards warranty is difficult, I have had them reject returns. I’ve NEVER had any craftsman hand tool product rejected for a return. A tool is only as good as its warranty!
You want to make America great again ??? You start BUYING and SELLING goods that are actually produced in the U.S.A. Yes, it really is that simple...but most people don't pay attention. They want Wal-mart or Harbor Freight cheap. Now people say they want quality, or that they want made in U.S.A. if asked, but their actions don't represent their words. Ponder this for me... Let's say your favorite set of tires, or wrench set, pair of work boots or even a certain brand of household appliance is now manufactured overseas or across our southern border. Do you think that the product you are about to purchase is actually cheaper now because "they" couldn't pay a living wage to workers here in the U.S.A. and are now using slave, child, or very sub-standard labor to produce such goods ?? Heck no ! That new refrigerator, or tool set, pair of boots on the shelf costs us what I'd did when it was made here...and sometimes it even goes up. But make no mistake the financial gain was not ours at all. Not the American people. We must produce goods here in the U.S.A. to have a shot for our future generations.
Uesd too be a charftsmen man until B&D Santley took over. Now they have a mix of China,Taiwan and US made stuff. They do have a life time no question asked warranty

Terrible video. Horrible camera work (focus, constantly panning, reflections). No explanation or discussion. At the end, we don't even have a solution to the problem and no updates. Thumbs down.
