I really enjoy flying R/C model airplanes. This channel is all about sharing the fun with YOU! I have a passion for aviation whether it be model planes, drones, or real airplanes. I do my best to create enjoyable content and present it in a fun way. Sometimes I have some other videos that go off the topic of flight, but I believe that you would still find those things interesting. I hope you would consider joining me on my journey of flight by subscribing! Thank you!!!
That's why sometimes getting a 2nd hand older model that was placed higher in the lineup is a better idea. The canon 70D from 2012 is old yet has the same video specs but better autofocus because it has dual pixel AF. Also it has more autofocus points in photo mode and its just better
@@TheOutdoorHobbyist Man this video is completely fine since the problems you pinpointed are 100% true. That's the important part, not the background :)
Bruh, I am not a professional and I am not able to spend money on this like you probably can. I use iMovie and a blanket green screen that's blue... at least I am trying, thank you
Honestly, if you don't need a dslr, go for a good phone camera. I have an s23 plus and the images from the portrait mode are still very good and it fits in your pocket. Do you need it for photo or video, and what type?
my young friend - if only I had seen your video before I purchased one - ughhhhh - am learning the hard way - big mistake in buying this camera! All the comments below were very helpful, too - thank you!
For sure, you have much more freedom to do more challenging maneuvers on a 4 cell battery. 3 cell is fine if you just want to fly and not do anything too crazy, but if you want to go wild with it, 4 cell is the way to go!
Ha ha, back again. First on your slow auto focus: I think, (forgive me if I’m wrong), but I think you are using the kit lens. It’s a good lens, especially for starting out. But you should get a 50mm 1.8 ef mount lens. The canon “fantastic plastic” is a fun lens and I think you will find the AF more to your liking - a cheap lens ~$125.00 even less used. You’ll be able to keep it for another Canon if you go to a full frame. Next the video settings on your camera. Here is a great tutorial: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6SPgPOH21S8.html Hope this helps.
For that video I was using the kit lens, but I also own the 55-250 STM lens and the focus on that is better, but still slow for action shots. That's just cause it's a budget camera though.
On the exposure in video mode…. Do you have the settings on auto or manual? If they are on auto then the camera decides the exposure. But in manual you should be able to control the exposure. Pretty sure, from what I have heard… I have the t7 but haven’t used it for video yet.
The clip I had was shot on manual exposure. The problem is that when you are shooting video and then want to use AF, it changes the exposure to auto as well. I think it's just a firmware bug or maybe it's just the way it's made. It is really annoying though and ruins video quality.
But you get a lot for your money. I have both the t7 and the T7i. They are both good. But I don't do video. Save the bucks if it's going to be your first dslr, and use it for another lens. That's the best bang for the buck. If cost isn't a factor, go with the T8i.
Ya, thanks for watching! It’s a very powerful plane! With full right rudder and 80% throttle, it pretty much goes straight out of the hand! (Oh, don’t forget the elevator too. That would be bad 😂)
Mine weighs 25 ounces without the battery. I have never weighed it with the battery though. Mine is over weight though because I painted it and that added a lot of weight.
Thank you! I have three rates: low, high, and 3D. Low is 12 degrees on elevator and rudder and 8 degrees on ailerons. High is 16 degrees on everything, and 3D is 45 degrees on elevator, max on rudder (however much you can get without hitting the elevator) and 35-40 degrees on aileron (personal preference) all rates are with 30% positive expo. Hope this helps! The Outdoor Hobbyist
I will build FT Edge.. what motor, prop size and lipo battery did you used..? I have Sunnysky 2216 1250kv and skywalker 50A ESC, what do you think the best prop size for my motor for this plane.. Thanks
I think a 9.5 inch prop with a 1300 mAh 4s lipo should be fine. I personally use a 2200 mAh 4s because my plane is tail heavy so I need the weight to balance it. So go lightly on the glue behind the c.g. Also, if you haven’t already, watch the flite test build video. There is lots of good info in there. Hope this helps
english? and show how you get to the features you say tronie? what does tthat mean theres no tronie selection on the screen? and for tap to fly you ever showed how to get to it. im like 2 minutes in and have so many questions. this is a horrible review and tutorial
I am sorry, this video was from when I just started RU-vid and was still really bad at it. (I am embarrassed to watch it myself but I keep it on my channel cause it gets views) But to answer your question about how to get to the intelligent flight modes menu, all you have to do is press the little joystick on your remote (it’s a button too…). Second of all, tapfly is just an icon in the menu, so just press it. Third, dronie is in the quick shots menu within the intelligent flight modes menu. For what it’s worth, hope this helps, The Outdoor Hobbyist
I personally never really use those, but I would consider making a video on those things (maybe re-do the whole thing actually 😂). My next video on the drone was going to be a short on what I have found to be the best camera settings. Thanks for the video suggestion, and for putting up with those terrible voice overs I did back then!
Nice video! I’ve seen this fly over my house in the past week. Looked it up on FlightAware and found a little about it using the tail number. Cool to see it through a video.
Thank you! Actually I saw it fly over our house and that’s how I found out that it was in town 😂. I use Flightradar24 and saw it flying so I had to go down to the air zoo the next day and check it out!
because they set out the birds for the hunt because the Michigan wild pheasant population is HORRIBLE. So once a year we get to do this for fun. It's not really REAL hunting but it's the best we can do. Whatever birds don't die that day do help the population a bit.
@@TheOutdoorHobbyist mine ended up tail heavy also. I ended up moving the servos from the tail up right behind the wing, made a huge difference. Great flying! Great plane! One day I'll get the confidence to try and harrier and hover mine, but for now I'm sticking to simulator for those moves.
Thanks for the tip! if I ever crash this one, I might just do that! If I built another one, I would be really mindful of not using a lot of glue on the parts that are behind the cg (like 60% of the plane lol). Flying harrier is my favorite way to fly this plane. Hovering is kind of hard with this plane though. I wish you luck! Happy Flying!
