Nintendo doesn't just not love its fans, they seem to HATE them when it comes to how much they attack the fans for sharing their love. I adore how much Palworld feels like a fan project of pokemon, that just barely changed the names and visuals BARELY enough to not get the cease and desist. And look at how well it does. Maybe, at some point, the demand for pokemon-like games would have been wouldn't have been so high if they hadn't SQUASHED all the fan efforts. And finally, someone made a knockoff with profit in mind, and people just... flocked to it.
when you start to feel comfy and one thought goes through ur brain saying that there could be something in the shadow of nothingness and u get scared, in conclusion "you dont fear being alone, you are scared that something is with you" something that you cant see, something that u cant hear
I 1000% agree with what youve said. Heck, Miramar is my favorite map lol I think Pubg could come back if there was a greater emphasis placed around making the gameplay something that cultivates dedication, but is perfectly fine if you barebones it. A big issue i personally see is that inventory management is not important anymore, and their is really only one weapon that matters; tactical assault rifle with an ACOG and suppressor. I like to use all the weapons, but the endgame is always the same - we meet in the center with our decked out rifles and have to out maneuver or frag eachother into being shot. The level 3 gear doesnt really matter, because nobody is counting on sniping at that point. You will inevitably end up mag dumping, which is always a kill if well aimed. Ammunition types, caliber swaps, weapon pairity, ballistics, armor perks and smaller inventories could revitalize the game, if you ask me. Add one, maybe two more modes and have in game rewards for good gameplay, not just winning. More items would also do a lot, like maybe calling your own artillery shot on a general area, or different boots or clothing to help you move better through different types of terrain. A wounding mechanic would be good, too, and would justify the prevelance of bandages. Wounds could effect the stability of your weapon, and reduce rate of fire, or if a leg is wounded you might have a limp effect that reduces speed. I guess it really just needs to dive into the survival aspect of the game. Ultimately, thats what PUBG is. After all, you dont have to get a lot of kills to win, you just need the last one.
goddam as someone with a constant fear of time and death, i was not expecting to relapse that fear in a yt video this was beautiful though, despite showinf up a year late im happy to see this
humans arent made for night shifts either, not gonna say how many jobs have that ACROSS THE FKING WORLD 36:40 you just had to put the hollow knight music here, dont you? :D
Watching a video titled "games you should only play once" and there is no mention of Outer Wilds, THE GAME that you cant replay because of its game design :D
Ah yes, the kind of video that makes me want to actually play some games instead of thinking of my gaming nostalgia. Good to know there are many good titles that I've not yet had a chance to check out.
i think fire watch had a great ending; Alone in the wilderness we fell for the scheme Ned set up because of our paranoia, that was amplified due to our solitude. it also built the expectation of meeting Delilah, but she left. In both cases it let our imagination run wild and them gave us a realistic cold snap back to reality.
The only thing I completely disagree with is that "Bezos" is non-essential. If we're talking about the reliance on the internet, why wouldn't we talk about Amazon (Bezos)... the reliance on two day shipping. The need for instant gratification.
start playing PUBG 2 months ago, and i love it. glad i didn't had to deal with "bullies". theese days is like 3-4 squads at most in School, sometimes there's noone there at all.
i think the series which is best at capturing this feeling intentionally is dark souls. there are two areas in the first game which feel like something you're not meant to see, ash lake and the abyss. in dark souls, there's a kind of entity known as the abyss, which spreads around places full of humanity like an infection, corrupting places and people. you find the ruins of a city called new londo, which was corrupted by the abyss, and eventually find the abyss itself at the very bottom of the city. you walk down a spiral staircase that drops off into a bottomless pit, and down there is an endless void of pitch black. no sounds, no life, just darkness that goes on forever. and down there you find the old rulers of the city, who were corrupted into terrifying monsters that approach you from the void ash lake is a very hard to find secret area that lies at the very bottom of the world. it's hidden behind two fake walls, and a level that makes you climb down the inside of an enourmous tree. as you make your way out of the bottom of the giant tree, it leads into something that feels completely out of place and otherworldly. a neverending expanse of water, populated by thousands more of the same kind of tree you just climbed down. all that seperates you from the bottomless sea is a small beach made of ash, a beach full of bones from a war that happened at the beginning of time. it's one of the only areas in the entire game with background music, a haunting song made up of only vocals
One of the reasons Miramar was hated is the way vehicles behaved, when you drove over any bump your camera would jerk up and down, they eventually patched this but it gave people headaches. Also the complete lack of cover was a huge pain. I lost count of how many times in Miramar I was forced to run out in this big open field and got sniped in the head.
One of my favorite "play once" games is endling. You play as this mother fox trying to protect her children and save one that was stolen from you in a world that is absolutely trashes and unlivable for any animal. I'm not going to sit here and spoil everything but it is amazing and i think about it a lot, only game i ever sobbed after playing.
Nah pubg is doing alright I picked it up again after 4 or so years and find the changes they made really enjoyable I dont like Sashok and fortunately it doesnt come up that often in queue, most of the maps are 8x8 There's plenty of people playing both solos and squads (fpp ofc) at regular times so its no issue to find a full lobby At non-prime times there are bots, which totally should be removed, but other than that the game is fine
32:00 i agree that Nintendo shouldn't take down RU-vidrs and fan-media but strictly speaking, no Silvagunner isn't transformattive because all he did was to post songs Nintendo made. To clarify, i have no problem with listening to video game OST's posted by people that don't own the songs but it shouldn't be considered transformattive imo
ive been looking for an offline game that has similar slow paced tactical gameplay with looting and progression like pubg, but every game i find is either shutdown or not what i want, i tried fallout and it was awful, ive been thinking about stalker gamma, but i tried anomaly and it didnt feel how i wanted it to, also its graphics are horrendous by even my standards so im not sure how much ill enjoy gamma, ive also heard of escape from pripyat, tarkov spt (i wont buy tarkov for sure, just sayin) and road to vostok. i hope one day ill find a game to love
