I went to Australia on holiday in early 2011 twice. One trip to Sydney and one trip to Brisbane and returned to Auckland in between the 2 trips. Both times on the trip back to Auckland from Sydney in between the two trips and the return from Brisbane a month later I was pulled over at customs twice and asked a million stupid questions. Lots of ppl on here saying it was just customs… bullshit. I was profiled for being a single male travelling alone. Anyone who thinks profiling doesn’t happen in NZ is living in dreamland. I’d also like to point out that I didn’t have any problems regarding customs in Australia and they too have a fragile eco system to protect. Australia was good to me but NZ was not… I’m a Kiwi returning home and like yourself I felt like going straight back to OZ where I felt more welcome. This was back in 2011 and I bet it’s got worse since then too
When one looks at this Monument ,and they think who built this ,these countries come to mind ,USA, China, European nation etc ,but actually North Korea built that Monument ...Mansudae Overseas Projects, a company from Jongphyong-dong, Phyongchon District, Pyongyang, North Korea. . Mansudae Overseas Projects is a North Korean construction company that builds monuments, museums, stadiums, and palaces for foreign countries. The company is the international division of the Mansudae Art Studio, an arts organization that was established in 1959
I love this! I just hate your fake backgrounds. Would love to see what the hotels or ARBNB really looks like in Senegal! I love authentic. But so cool to see that statue
Ivan welcom to senegal I just want you to know that the monument was designed by Senegal architecte Pierre Atepa Goudiaby we have not built it but we are prood to this statue because that the major tourist spot in dakar .
❤ .Each country with its rules, these realities are not up to the white countries of the West to tell us what to do. Senegal is surrounded by a ring of fire with countries at war destabilized by groups, this was the case this week with the attack in the capital of Mali, Bamako ( the downtown, the City center) We try to live with this pshycosis as normally as possible so for security reasons certain ministerial public places, the president's house, military barracks, etc. cannot be filmed with professional electronic equipment for a long time or drone flight. But if you're filming quickly with your cell phone or a go pro it's no problem. Senegal after the Arab countries Morocco, Tunisia is the French-speaking country which receives the most tourists with millions of people therefore a great experience. But I can't be more precise, it's security deterrence unfortunately.
Yes the monument was built by a North Korean company but the architect who designed it is Senegalese his name is Pierre Goudiaby Atepa. his name is written on the table at the bottom of the monument. And it was sculpted by a Romanian sculptor Virgil Magherusan. And the Senegalese artist Ousmane Sow is the initiator.
Hey mate, the reason why the Aboriginal woman was struggling to answer some of the questions about where she’s from and her connection with Australia is because “Australia” itself is not a country from the perspective of the traditional owners. She was earlier on saying she’s “not from here”, or “this country”. Any other person would think she means she’s not from Australia. That’s incorrect, of course she’s from Australia. She finally specified “this is not my country”, which I could tell was difficult for you to understand. If you google a map of Australia of the aboriginal countries, you’ll see that there are many. This woman has a specific connection to the land she briefly spoke about, not the land she is currently in (Gadagal land which encompasses what we call Redfern.) When speaking to her about Northern Territory, she couldn’t answer much because it’s a completely different country. It’s like if someone went to Morocco and started asking them about people in South Africa. She’s not in a position to tell you about the people from that land. It’s likely she would have been easily be able to elaborate on her country. This is why you left feeling unsatisfied. You were asking her questions about “Australia” and other aboriginal countries within the continent, so it was difficult for her to answer, and to you, her answers were confusing. I hope this explains it

Came across this video - I am puzzled since Fiji imports supplementary staff from other countries to staff their supermarkets as per personal experience. I hear other industries are in the same boat. As for diabetic conditions - education plus quality of imported food (used quite widely) may be a large part of the answer. It is encouraging to see more backyard farming and roadside farms with fresh produce for sale on the roadsides.
