What is the problem in making your actors/models wear a tiny binidi and the men a small tilak? You use Hindu names make them look Hindu and dress them modestly.
This story touched me greatly when I first saw it many years ago. Yesterday I became this father and today I broke down rewatching it. My daughter got engaged so I’ll start writing my speech with similar thoughts and emotions. I’ll rewatch it after that day comes😢
What, no face tats? For comparison, I'd like to see some of today's beauties, dressed in period clothes and makeup, shot in black & white. Bet they'd look stunning, too. OTOH, without the favorable lighting and makeup, some of these might look like your uncle Frank. :D
