After watching this review, I decided to go with Thuma. Thank you so much for making this video and for also updating us about Silk and Snow's return policy in the comment section.
Silk & Snow do not make it clear that if you need to return the bedframe for any reason you will be charged return shipping. Even if it's a quality issue. And, because this company uses Fed Ex the cost will not be disclosed until you are already in the return process. If you live in the US the cost could be astronomically high. We had to pay hundreds of dollars to return a poor quality bedframe. If you need to return for any reason you are screwed! Just be aware before purchasing, this is a huge risk, and unless you are 100% you will never need to return for any reason you could be on the hook for paying an undisclosed amount of money.
Ahh I have the same issue with the centre support beam legs,they are too short and they won't stay on so I'll try what you did here and shim but they should really fix this issue.
I noticed pieces of mud on the slats!! And on one of the feet. One set of slats did not sit totally flat, Had to shim the support beam as it had 1/2" gap from the floor. After having it for a week, hate to say it but IT IS CREAKY. It's not squeaky but when I move it makes a audible wood clunk noise. Shame for the cost and reason I bought was thinking it would be virtually silent with the Japanese joinery. Nope. wish I had watched your video before making my purchase.
I hope you returned this. In reading other reviews it looks like this company has a quality problem that they are not solving. Very expensive for a poor product. Thanks for this review as I am looking elsewhere (Thuma?).
Was deciding between thuma and this Really appreciate this They wouldn't been smart to have refunded you like most bed co s do these days . I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. You are doing many people a great service by posting this 🙏
Final Update: we requested company to take a return. They suggested $350 refund out of the total $1892 we paid or they will arrange 1800GotJunk to get the bed frame thrown away or give in charity. We requested to the higher management level that if you plan to discard the bed frame then please let us keep it and we will try to screw brackets and change slats ourselves if that could work. Horrible customer service, Silk and Snow calls themselves as sustainable company but this bed frame is cheaply made in Vietnam and they have no issues throwing it in the garbage. Lots of back and forth with the company and they wouldn’t budge. $350 refund for a crappy bed frame wasn’t enough. Junk people came to pick it up and they said they basically will take it to the dump. So finally we got rid of the bed frame. Company was very uncooperative. We finally have a Zinus bed frame, this one we bought from Amazon. Looks great, it’s sturdy in my opinion, the slats might not be super strong but it’s worth the price I paid in comparison to the one from Silk and Snow!
Thank you for watching. It squeaks horribly and dealing with the company is a nightmare. They claim to be sustainable , but instead of return they said they will get it thrown by junk company. They wouldn’t refund if we decide to keep and try to repair. There are better Canadian companies we can support.
Also wanted to add that the bed squeaks a lot!!! So much so that we wake up anytime one of us turns. The company has absolutely horribly bad customer service. We wanted to support local Canadian company but looks like they want to make money by selling junk!
@@rmleider we returned the bed frame. The squeaks were quite loud. I am skinny lightweight person and even a little turn would make a loud squeak and wake my wife up 😢

Thank you for watching! We tried to find coupons but could not find anything. Unfortunately they don’t have promotional coupons either as they said that it’s a new product. But in our opinion it should be discounted if it’s new as not many people know about it. We also bought a queen size wooden bed frame from Costco for 700 with delivery and that bed is very well finished and sturdy! Just in case you are also looking for options 😊 All the best!!
@@rmleider Zinus was selling their wooden frames at one point on costco website in Canada, we bought one from there and then we also got couple more of those from Amazon! They are really nice, you should give that a try
Also forgot to add that there are some oil stains on the slats. We have contacted the company and waiting for their response. I will update here once we get to hear from them! Thank you for watching
