Miss Japan has been the strongest delegate since then. Yet, I'm ok she didn't place because in spite of being so strong in a number of aspects - walk, maturity, etc. She wasn't a perfect delegate. The gown looks ill-fitting and her choreography was not perfect. Her styling could also be better. The preliminary styling made her look old. Here, it's not that great either. Maiko was the last strongest delegate, even more than the overrated Ariana Miyamoto who was a mess when she arrived in Las Vegas in spite of having a pretty face, potential body and walk. 2012's Ayako Hara is the closest that comes to Maiko and would have placed if she was prettier.

Lol, they wouldn't want a Muslim Miss USA to make the cut so Rima is one of the only two/three delegates to miss a spot in the finals. The other was a black delegate in 2002 who was very hurt and pissed for being deprived because she was an outstanding delegate. We know the standard of Miss USA delegates who placed at Miss Universe year after year. If anything, those two who unplaced deserve to win Miss Universe over all the Miss USA delegates who won Miss Universe or placed.
