For sure. This is more just like a regular speed their regular speed. I saw a clip here on YT of a Cheetah chasing a Leopard and this is nothing compared to that.
Some tries are faster than others. It depends on the position and speed of the lure when they release the cheetah. The slowest runs happen when the lure is close and slow enough that the cheetah knows it doesn't need a real effort to catch it.
They've used this exact setup every day for the past 13 years. No problems, and that's not a surprise to me. The cheetah is laser-focused on the lure until the end of the run and a little after. Then it's focused on the rabbit they feed it and easy to get back on a leash. After run #2 when they bring it into a pen with some people who paid extra it's getting frozen blood treats, and tired anyway.
Shot in Clog 3, there is no Clog 2 in the camera, only in the RAW conversion software for the 12 bit raw. I downloaded the canon LUTs and used them in Premiere. I was very pleased with the 8 bit.
