Gods are invented by men to control others, end of story. As human beings our work on Earth is to care for the planet and each other. Belief in imaginary gods separates humans, humans have used their belief in false gods to justify their murderous predations over centuries. Humans use it to justify their insatiable appetite to have power and control over other people. Humans have no rights to have power and control over others. There is no justification for predation and violence of men. There will be no peace on Earth as long as men cling to false gods and all gods are false gods.
