I am beyond humbled that I was able to receive the Proclamation declaring April 22 - 28, 2024 as MS Awareness week. When I started this journey in 2008, I was unsure of the impact it would have on myself or our community. Sixteen years and now over 25 medications available we still fight for a cure. Safety audits need done at all the county parks, especially the playground areas. Several items need addressed. The pool lanes at Marty Snook Park are not deep enough for swimming competitions. New developed hybrid Chestnut trees should be planted in the parks for future generations. Chestnut trees are coming back.

there aren't several good reasons. The reasons why this might be necessary are poor availability of ambulances and long response runs of the next clear ambulance. Just because additional ressources MIGHT be needed isn't a good reason to send a fire truck to a medical call right away. If necessary, EMS crews on scene should call for support if needed.
Is there a clause in the legal municipality status under the State of Maryland (and/or through city charter) that requires the City of Hagerstown to provide public safety services? I believe the city charter Article XII Section 1202 (Departments) addresses the requirement of providing and maintaining such existing services when the charter was established.
The best thing for Washington County to do is NOT follow examples set by Frederick County. Frederick County made the poor choice(s) to attempt to become an extension of Montgomery County ... or replicate it. It has done nothing but severe harm related to over-development, traffic congestion, public safety (crime) problems, public utility burden ... the list goes on.
