Hi, I'm planning to buy used Opel Crossland 2022, but I'm thinking about the maintenance service cost, parts replacement of this car, do you have idea on maintenance for european cars
Same question by my side. I’m planning to buy but people and good reviews are saying that car parts and servicing is costly and they are recommending me for Toyota or any Japanese brand .. Any suggestions please
When you opt for a German car, you should be prepared for that increment in parts price and maintenance but the reward is the experience of ownership for those who love it. However, contrary to what people think, many German brands also save money on maintenance and service the service interval is often 15,000 or 20,000 - whereas most other makes stipulate a 7,500 or 10K service interval.
I have replied below. When you love a car's drive and experience, you are already prepared to make slight compromises on other aspects including resale and maintenance costs. But if you are not in love with that car, you will feel it as a burden. Get what I mean? :)
such a terrible suv to drive, 1.5l turbo with CVT is a receipe for disaster. ac blower not good enough, ac cooling is terrible in summer. Its A MG product made in china not a genuine chevrolet suv. 3rd row seats dont have ac vents.
The fact that it is the result of a collaboration is mentioned in the review. Actually for general use, for moderate expectations, the engine and its output seems to be good enough. It is a model that promises value more than excitement. :)
Hello Sir, I like the way you present & talk about the features of the car. Could you pls compare this with exeed vx Luxury 2024 & Kia Sorrento 2024 mid version & advice the better option to go with, justified with appropriate reasons
On an average in normal conditions, I have been getting 10.2L/100 km. Driving in unusual traffic can bring down the economy as to be expected. Please check out Drivemeonline website for my review from "50 days with Honda ZR-V" by 15th July
CVT feels like a straight climb while accelerating (as if there is only one gear) but a regular automatic transmission feels like a stepped ascent when you accelerate ( multiple gears for varying speeds). Both have their pros and cons
Reliability of the new Chinese cars comes from the long warranty cover they offer as they are yet to be proven in this market. But the warranty and also the price as well as the rich tech features are the rewards of going for it. The risk is the resale value and maintenance pattern, which is largely addressed by the extensive warranty. Please take a test drive.
@mahyki7158 i too am experiencing issues and i noticed while using Android Auto all info like maps, icons are all pixelated was it the same with you? And did the update fixed it?

The safety features and fuel economy seem to be on the good side. General parts availability has been confirmed from the dealer side. Do take a test drive and see if your are happy with the car.
The sounds of engine in SPORT mode is artificialiy produced from your speakers, its not from your engine. And Escalade ESV is longer than this X7😂. Good review for an amateur driver 👍
Thank you for this comment, which I found immensely funny. While I understand amplification of sounds using the cabin speakers (as it is generated in electric cars and certain sports cars) sport mode does sustain a higher rpm level and therefore contribute to a different sonic experience. As a person who has spent many days with both the X7 and the ESV, I am aware of their respective length. I accept the sign-off compliment - keeping the amateur spirit after experiencing several hundreds of cars is a quality I consider every reviewer should have to uphold the passion and commitment to the mission. :)
It'd be a good idea to publish a video showing a seasoned veteran vs. a rookie driving the defender in the dunes. RU-vid is loaded with excellent reviews showing all the tech, features and trinkets which we're all quite familiar with now.. It would be nice to see is drone or on land footage really showing the defender going through a lengthy cruise in deep soft sand dunes.. This is what off-roading entails in our part of the world and that which is hardly documented, despite the car being on the market for quite a decent no. of yrs..
