What's up, Ballers! Welcome to the Coach Plugged In channel where we will go in depth about the X's and O's on your Apple OS Devices. Join me weekly for updates, tips, and tricks on using equipment, applications, softwares, and more! I hope this channel can be a resource to you as I look to help those wanting to strive in the creation profession and build confidence with their technology.
In SS version 4x the windows are fully resizable, and you can have as many windows open as you want. You can save things to your iCloud, which you can easily access with your iPad. You can use it with your iPhone. The iPhone screen becomes your trackpad. I basically use it for research. I can have a bunch of web browser windows open to websites or on-line books and then can easily cut and paste things into Google Docs, which I use on all of my research tools. Most web apps also work well, but some are a bit buggy.
Though this review is older it is by FAR (like distance to the Moon vs. to Saturn) better than several I’ve watched about Shiftscreen. I do wish someone would list all apps available within shiftscreen. I’m assuming it assuming it supports no Apple productivity apps like Keynote and Pages. ?
One thing about the whole Smart Keyboard Folio with external trackpad versus the Magic Keyboard: Prices aside and depending on your needs, each setup has their own pros and cons. One is modular and one is not. I use all of the above-the iPad, wireless Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad 2, a Smart Folio cover, and the Magic Keyboard all in one of those tough and very convenient Tomtoc cases.
Prices aside, you can have the best of having a modular setup with the iPad and an external trackpad and/or keyboard and also a convenient all-in-one package like you get what the Magic Keyboard. I actually carry all of the above in a Tomtoc rugged case, as my use cases differ-and I just my iPad primarily for work.
Coach, how are you? We started our channel the same time. Hope you come back man! I have 486 subscribers. You already hit the 1K mark. Hope you come back and make videos!
Just found your channel bro. I'll definitely be subscribing. You may have already found this out now but, in that magnetic flap, there's an insert to place that Logitech Crayon/Apple Pencil/preferred stylus.
The apple magic keyboard is terrible in the sense that you're getting ripped off. Check out the logitech combo case/keyboard. You get all the function keys that magic keyboard is missing, better protection, more foldabiltiy, and its way more affordable. Logitech works really closely with apple on making peripherals for their products. I really liked the app suggestions though! I dream of having a powerful and portable computer in the tablet form factor.
New subscriber here, very helpful info thank you. I do have a question, when using an iPad as a laptop, what monitor do you recommend for Zoom (concerned about audio quality and camera) used BT audio speakers before and there was feedback when I spoke. Also would the camera be used from the iPad or the monitor? In searching for a monitor is there something specific I need to keep in mind? Oh I also need the dongle brand. Thanks so much for your help.
I have 12.9 ipad pro 2021 coming around june i will make mma/boxing videos. I will have alot of different projects but will start with mma/boxing channel thanks great video
This looks really neat! I'm surprised the light panel you are using is bright and large enough for your face but it seems good! I think the warm lamp at the back is flickering a bit or is not at the same frequency as you are filming. There are some horizontal lines in the image.
can you confirm that I can open two browsers? want to use this for my workflow - one browser is remote connection where I do codding(preferably full-screen browser to get 1:1 scale), other is for browser preview(browse links to test what I've coded) ideally guess I can hook the iPAD to some HW splitter with 2xResolutions of two monitors, and when I split-screen is like having 2 independent monitors... (I'm PC guy thinking of switching(now with RISC processors)... first I considered MAC mini, but the iPAD is more portable, has a screen, and LIDAR!!!)
This is why apple sucks, when buy samsung s7+ , all perfectly fine. Fits well on your external monitor. While my ipad sucks, need to buy another apps which is not even working prefectly.
Thanks for a beginner guide that doesn’t focus on technicalities, but rather the big picture. This sounds nuts, but the most useful accessory I have found is the $14 “kids case” which is nicely padded, and has a handle on one side like a briefcase, which also serves a stand. If you buy it in black it doesn’t look childish, and it is fantastic for toting your iPad EVERYWHERE - standing, walking, sitting, in the car, in bed, in the bathtub, sitting under a tree, tossing into backpack, curling up on couch, watching movie, reading the newspaper, taking a photo, editing videos, writing in your jounal, quickly googling a fact, airdopping files to friends, etc. I always feel sorry for the people who have to take their ipad out, unfold it, set it on a table, sit in a chair, etc. They get 10% of the usage that I do. I especially recommend this for your older Ipad, and for giving to elderly and handicapped folks. The grippy handle makes a big difference for them, and no harm is done if they drop it.
