As someone from the 1917s myself I can intuitively confirm that each dent was a strategically placed to account for rapid temperature changes as well as a special way to disperse kinetic energy towards that point in which, has extra reinforced with extra metal in behind each dent and finally it helped the factory build the tank oh and I almost forgot that I have no clue what kinda bullshit I just pulled outta my ass and wasted all of our time reading this short story😂
If the trailer flips in an accident, the skid steer is coming off due to inertia breaking your magnetic strength and not to mention the momentum… that’s a helluva chunk of steel about to destroy anything in its path. Hashtag safety first “” wipe
Cool to see machines like this. I like seeing old tools and picturing them working. Things like early power tools or ww2 generators are cool. Really impressive engineering for the times. Of course a modern machine would probably appear magical to those in the past
I was about to say they do similar things today accept now they dont have to shoot s actual gun at them they can use speacial devices and tools which can apply the appropriate ammount of pressure without deting or deforming plates.
To be real technical. Let a DOT catch you. You have to have two tie downs on a skidsteer. Depending on weight if it's a heavy one you need 3. So your actually technically wrong hauling that on there. I have actually seen DOT pull over one of our equipment haulers hauling a skidsteer and a backhoe. He definitely got told what all he needed. He just didn't have enough for what he was hauling. Continue hauling it like that. Ticket coming.
I couldn't imagine the cost and time involved restoring something like a bulldozer. I restore ford idi diesel pickup trucks anything from about 86 to 94. Just finished my 8th truck a 1986 4x4 6.9 diesel standard cab took me 5 years to finish. Most of the time i start with a running truck and can finish in a little over a year But my 86 i went all the way paid a fella to rebuild the 6.9 engine if i couldn't find new replacement parts then the part was rebuilt. Rebuild the c6 trans and transfer. Shipped the entire wiring harness to a fella in Florida who went through the entire harness i have close to 15,000 dollars in this 86 truck but i restored it for myself im 45 hopefully it will outlast me.
