The 25' flagpoles and longer need a wide hole but those augers you can rent are only digging an 8" hole.....and so you are renting an auger but still have to do a lot of digging by hand to get the wider hole......also, those sleeves are not needed and a waste of money.....and lastly you need to make sure your sleeve is PLUMB not level......
For this design of flagpole, it should be right "raise" and lefty "lower" due to the internal cable being inserted into the winch on an angle. That angle when raising the flag allows the cable to lay flat against the winch. Going the opposite direction could create a loop on the internal cable and begin to get caught on itself and possibly fraying the cable unnecessarily.
This is an advertisement for selling these flags! Where is the unique history that the title implies? Burghee shape, geometry, history behind it, etc. Dissapointed!
Be sure not to let go of that rope or it will go back up the flag and you'll have to get someone with a bucket truck to put the rope through the pulley. Happened to me before. Also is a good idea to burn the ends of the cut rope so they don't fray.
I really REALLY can’t understand why flag companies thought it was a brilliant idea to start using chain stitches on the stripes…. Unless the idea is to put stitches that fall apart so people will buy more… If I receive a chain stitched flag, it’s getting returned immediately. I’m no sucker… 🤷🏽♂️
I had bought two of these last month and now tomorrow is the first day of Spring and I want to go ahead and starting putting them up but it didn’t come with instructions how to put them on the porch bounster’s ?
Don't want to armchair quarterback this thing, but when presenting the flag you never have the point facing the person you are giving it to. But aside from that, this looked pretty good.
