We spent like 60% of the game with Galuf and he was actually interesting, funny, had good dynamic with Bartz and despite his age he's always there to fight danger. Not to mention his heart-wrenching scene where he waits for Xezat to comeback, hoping his friend survived, the game makes u wait with him then it cuts to him alone in the submarine. When Galuf died I got genuinely sad, like if there's ever a chance to bring him back I'll take it, all those emotions weren't there when Aerith had the same fate. She was alright but I simply don't feel the same attachment towards her, the only sad thing about her death is losing the healer
okay I know this video is old so sorry for the notif but I never got the mari knock at the door at the start of the game?? like after you eat the steak and puke and stuff I never knew it was optional lol,,, anyway i need to mentally prepare for these ohmyg
well you're in luck because there's only like 3 mandatory ones you have to see and 2 of them are super easily missable. there are actually a few that i missed and even some that are unused/outside of the game itself (the console port trailer for example), and i've been thinking of making an updated video for a while but im just way too lazy to gather the footage
@@prismason thank god honestly because plauing horror games is so much scarier than watching them to me like even the non-scary parts like the chase scene in humphrey made me anxious😭😭that’s good to know though thank you
Galuf is my favorite character in any Final Fantasy game. We get to know him throughout the game. We get funny and lighthearted scenes with him, scenes of him and Bartz just hanging out and talking at the bar, scenes that humanize him and make us *care* about him - so this death scene hits like a goddamn truck when it happens. He went out in the most badass way possible, though. Galuf was a true hero and an all-around great guy to the end.
