Sleep is interesting, dreams are beyond explanation. Next time you believe you are in a dream, try to read something, look for a clock, or a mirror. Ask someone what date it is, where you are located, etc. Then, upon waking, jot notes in a bedside journal. Let me know what you find...
I love dreams one time I was lucid I had the option to look in a mirror but I thought hmm I've never done that in a dream before I'm not sure I want to and I did something else, I would love to get that opportunity again and see what happens, who knows, perhaps tonight I will :)
