The movie gets a bad rap from a lot of people, but I love it. It has great minature sequences and is somewhat whimsical- kinda slightly reminds me of Flash Gordon with the FX. I have the rare HK dvd, but thinking about upgrading to this blu ray thats supposedly now on Amazon for (finally) region free pre order. If anyone has this blu ray let me know if the transfer is mid, or if it kicks ass. Thx
Very fun movie looking forward to this new release have placed my advance order. I have the French 2022 Carlotta edition which looks great but listed it on eBay. Wondering if the Masters Of Cinema edition is the same....
Immediately after hearing seconds of the score I was like... that has to be Basil Poledouris... and sure enough.... Very reminiscent of his Conan The Barbarian score... epic, and perfect
I love the exploding sleeping bag. What i dont love is the shot of the bear walking, it looks awful. It wasnt like that when it was crossing the lake, different suit maybe?
And utterly magnificent adaptation of a Broadway play. The ladies are all incredible. I've seen this so many times, always grabs me, and the last shot always goes right through me. Goosebumps.
Was always aware of this film as an '80s kid, but somehow it was never in the cable TV rotation with Conan the Barbarian, Nate and Hayes, Krull, Dragonslayer, Beast Master, etc.
That trailer rules! Gotta watch this. I've recently found a few of the director's films on Tubi, like the Battles Without Honor and Humanity series, and they are pretty great. So Kinji Fukasaku is a notable rad new find for me, thanks for posting this trailer! Also Wolves Pigs and Men looks great too! Geez!
🇧🇷From the trailer ... IS'T a film that you should watch... I 'm IMPRESSER to see images of the building:Worlds TRADE CENTER ... (sorry for typing wrong...
