What a great listen! I loved seeing Dungeon Studios there as well as the gold minis were an awesome quest!! I'm already plotting next year and will keep in touch and would love to have you back in a bigger role if possible.
Oh, I'm a bit of a digital dice goblin (just 12 sets). It's a bit embarrassing, but I did learn to play with Beyond. I like to have dice that match my character and I like to have dice to change to if the set I'm using isn't give me the rolls I want. I don't know if there's anything to it, but I feel like sometimes I might get stuck in a bad roll algorithm, then I change and the rolls seem to get better.
thanks for the download. im thinking if incorporating in our home game. and when the memories come up i will only hand it to the person whose home village we are in and they can explain it to the group if they want.🤔😲😲🥳🤯
On the topic of 'by the book players' , sadly I have a very good friend that unfortunately will not play unless it is to the letter ... Needless to say , we don't RP together .. but we do play boardgames :) 😂
When I watched Blood and Honey, it gave me , Meet the Feebles , vibes.. in so far as taking a beloved set of characters, stuffing them in a sack, then leaving said sack out in the sun to ferment
In regards to the <spit in a cup DNA> , and the possibility of bad actors stealing the information for nefarious reasons.. It has happened already, 23 and me had there DB's hacked not to long ago ... so, should one be cautious about where data ends up ? .. .of course ... it would be an appropriate response for "any" kind of personal data .. Fortunately, there is very little one can do with genetic data at the moment, and without the raw source of said data, there is even less ... so you are fine for the next 10 to 15 years .. after that, and once qBit technology is now a mainstay and AI are now our daily news casters .. well .. gloves are off at that point.
I remember an old science fiction short story where someone went back in time to somewhere like ancient Greece and introduced modern medicine resulting in a changed future which was much worse than the one he came from, eventually someone from the new future went back in time to assassinate the original time traveller thus restoring the timeline
I also feel the need to add that i optimise my characters Russ, but you've rarely seen me go all out (I've only done that once) all the rest have been me holding back to keep the game fun.
Just a point regarding Drow, they do have a range of hair colours, but silver hair is looked down on by Lolth worshippers as it's associated with Eilistraee the Good Drow goddess
Playing "typically" monster race characters i have always had an minor issue with "only" when it pertains to a particular setting where the general populace, or even the rest of the party, will have issue with a Goblin, Minotaur, Lizardman, etc.. running amok and not put to the sword... Sure you can squeeze in some narrative, but it really makes for a difficult session. If however the entire party are playing monster races, at least they will have to deal with the populace in a similar manner.. perhaps its an Evil campaign, this could be fun .. but simply dropping a bomb on a GMs lap without first saying "hey, are goblin (monster) races allowed, or make sense in this setting?" ... is a bit of non-starter in my opinion... having said all that, if the player is hard set and there where no limitations set prior to character creation, and they seem confident/passionate ... i say "crack on" ... could be some good RP in that nut.
