RonanEllis.Net My name is Ronan Ellis and I'm a visual effects artist with a passion for film making and generally speaking anything techie. Software skills include (but not limited to) Cinema 4D, Nuke and Davinci Resolve. As much as I like being behind a screen, I also enjoy going out with a camera and filming, setting up the lights and the audio. Really trying to get those cinematic shots to really bring a project together. Explore my Projects page where you can find examples of my work.
Triboluminescence. Life Savers breath mints...go into the closet, no lights AT ALL. Ask a friend to bite into one of the mints...you'll see a blue snap glow of light.
I'm a bit late to the party with this one, but I felt that it was still worth leaving a message to say how impressed I am with your work. About the only thing I would mention is that the letters for "Doctor Who" didn't stand out enough from the background but otherwise I really liked this blending of the decades. It was probably more difficult to decide which elements to leave out, but if the BBC had the sense to hire fans such as you, or at least give you use of their production equipment and do any fine tuning that you had in mind, I could easily see your titles getting used. Unfortunately the BBC is something of a closed shop, and Big Finish Productions (who are more creative) wouldn't need visuals, but I hope that you don't get discouraged from continuing with your work. Either someone will eventually recognise your talent, or you will be great at your hobby.
Pretty nice ! Although, it's a pity the music isn't consistent from beginning to end (cuts connexions), a unique track would have been better. The TARDIS could also have been moving and spinning more since the credits appear, it's a bit to slow. But nice work overall ! 😉
@@Ronan_Ellis_VFX tremendous work Ronan. I wanted to create a short movie that needed similar VFX stuff, and how i can blend environments together. Nuke is one i use and love. Maybe we can collaborate together on a project when we get the chance Peace Peace
I adore it when these fan-made intros do the thing where the camera zooms into the light on top of the TARDIS, it's such a handy transition technique that still looks soooo nice, honestly they should've used that technique for series 7b's intro sequence rather than the whole doors opening thing. Great job dude, keep it up
Oh this is gorgeous! A guided visit to Doctor Who throughout the years :) Btw, I like how this was already a cool assignment but you decided to take it to the next level and include everything you could. That alone deserves merit.
