There should be golden seeds that appear for a few moments, that when clicked, create either a golden raddish or fools good raddish. One is super valuable and the other is worthless.
The higher your relative productivity is, the higher chance these seeds can appear every tick. This makes the slow times not completely void of opportunity, while simultaneously rewarding active behavior.
the UI has a way for you to change the border style when you go to theme or theme override you can add a new box style or write code to make it how you like it it is awesome I figured out and now that I feel like I am complete it is awesome that some thing you do looks good.
hi man, I found you out of nowhere while searching for some godot videos, your progress seems really great! Im starting godot dev too and I really enjoy these kinds of videos so, looking forward for more episodes :), (btw the game develops in really great direction :D)
also.. i have tips about the windows when resizing, the contents inside becomes whack, or some elements are misplaced... To fix this.. Go to Project > Project Settings > Under Display is Window > Search for ``Stretch`` > in Mode, select the ``canvas_items`` and in Aspect, select the ``ignore``, this way, the elements inside will ignore the size of window and will adapt instead... since games have many type of orientations.
hey bro I am simply baffled, and im wondering if someone can help me out: how are you accessing the Global.coins variable in your on_pressed function in the very beginning? I tried to do the exact same thing in your video, and I cannot access the variable without creating another reference variable in the button first?
W Game! # In Control nodes(The nodes that are green) to find the size, position, rotation and scale it's in Layout -> Transform on your Bottom left going up on the selected node Also I don't know if you have tried this for tweening the day progress bar so if you haven't try it and reply if it worked. You might have faced problems with tweening because of the out of date tutorial and assets based on tweening most of them use Godot 3 system for tweening. @onready var progressbar := $ProgressContainer/TimeProgress # To make the tweening smoother you need to change the progressbar is step from 1 to something like 0.1 and to make it smoother use 0.01 func update_progressbar(new_value:float): var tween = create_tween() # VvV To change it's Easing type use .as_relative().set_trans(Tween.TRANSITION_TYPE) at the end like this VvV # tween.tween_property(progressbar, "value", new_value, duration).as_relative().set_trans(Tween.TRANS_LINEAR) # The default is Tween.TRANS_LINEAR so use something like Tween.TRANS_BOUNCE to change things up tween.tween_property(progressbar, "value", new_value, duration) # tween_property(object, "property", new_property_value, duration) pass I can't wait for more devlogs, I hope you continue using Godot because beginners like you grow the community Looking forward to seeing were this game and your journey into game development goes from here!
This seems to be turning into an economy centered game which is awesome. Most games have the economy push it off to the side so this is cool to see. If this continues to be a theme for the game you should put a lot of testing into it as economies are very unstable. This includes real economies, however, video games have the downside of bugs/glitches that make them even less stable. To get back on topic, this game is very cool and I can’t wait to see more! You definitely should try to focus on a story/questline to give the player something to focus on because unfortunately monkey brain won’t keep watching one number go up forever. One feature that would be really cool to see is a separate game mode/part of the game that is an online market where you interact with other players trying to sell them radishes for more money (this is inspired by the bazaar/auction house from hypixel skyblock as well as many other games with mostly player run economies). I have no idea how you would do this as I know very little about this stuff but I believe that you can do it. Overall, I ramble way too much when I make comments and should really shut up, also very W game.
