Another great video! So nice to see you both. Ill be sending good thoughts to you and your family and I hope stitching helps you face whatever challenges come your way this month. I can't wait to hear all about your stitch con adventures!
Another fun video ladies. I am just back from Stitch North…my roommate had her birthday Saturday and it was great fun. June will be awesome for you. Take care.
Hope you had a great time at Stitch North! Will you be doing a recap? 🤞Because we need to see all the things! Thank you again for your kind words! Your comments are a ray of sunshine!
I am going to Stitch North October yes. There was a lovely set of shops plus Evertote to buy from and 31 tables of 7 stitchers. I just finished making my video. Now to see if it uploads.
You two are hilarious! I'll say yes to Walking Dead and Yellowstone :) Tonsils and Turkeys... I can see how both of those can be compared to Carrie. Kathy, you are so close to a finish on Eleanor Rigby. There is a heart under her first name. Have you thought about moving the quilt star underneath her last name for a littl balance? And Karen, you blow my mind stitching 1 over 1 on 32 count. You go girl!
Hmmmm … now there’s an idea for Eleanor! Thanks! We are so glad people find us entertaining. The world needs more jocularity! <--- Look at me using a fancy word! Next on the list will be Draconian. 😂 Kathy
I put on my second set of eyes for the 1 over 1 so I cheat! I’m a big girl who likes small things. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Thank you for the fun comment. Love it. - Karen
Hello, I saw a recent video and Karen you had on a Sweata Weatha shirt on. I was at that retreat and I am also Karen. I am enjoying your videos and your stitching. ❤
It is the first weekend in April. I believe we signed up in July maybe. Don’t remember. Cole was there last year. I haven’t talked to her so I don’t know if she will be there again. She had her designs and needle minder there.
Hi…what a nice surprise on a dreary afternoon. The temp is going from lovely spring warmth to rain to arrive with snow tomorrow. I like Magazine Monthly and Laura’s challenge on Stitching by the shore because they let you be creative with how you do the prompts. You can fill the acrostic any way that works for you.
I’m in Michigan and I’ve been huddled under blankets except when we were taping! My husband said it must be a sign we are getting old! But snow cold and damp cold are different. Thank you again for your kind words! It means the world to us that we brighten someone’s day! Kathy
The chart (PDF) is available from IncredibleStitching on Etsy. In our next episode I will have more done! I know exactly how I want to frame it! Have a great stitching week! Kathy
I have stitched and FFOd Harriet Tubman. I also have Anne Frank and Platinum Jubilee (Queen Elizabeth) in my stash. I have Practical Magic as a WIP. Marie Curie will be added to the stash, eventually. Loved catching up on your FlossTube. 💜💜💜
That is awesome! Maybe we could do a Primitive Hare SAL of notable women in the future! Queen Elizabeth’s actual birthdate was April 21, but her official birthday was celebrated the second Saturday of June (I need to be Queen - wonder if that meant two cakes and double the presents?). This year, Trooping of the Colour celebrating King Charles’s official birthday is Saturday, June 15. That sounds like a good day to start a SAL! Or Anne Frank’s birthday is June 12.
I am doing hot air balloon too. I did a magazine monthly zoom and they confirmed that I could use owl for all of the letter Os, I just had to add stitches. Lots of fun again ladies. You make me smile.
You know I had to laugh. My birthday Sal is nothing but flowers. Maybe it was just the pink alphabet??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I’m loving the stitch so…. Does that mean there are more alphabets in my future? Karen
Just found your flosstube! Adding you to my list of must watch! Love the story of how you became friends. I hope to go to retreats one day and make some stitchy friends.
Wonderful show ladies, thank you. Yes I am a JD fan I met him when he was filming Benny and Joon in Spokane, WA. Nice guy, really. X-file athon count me in. I think the most disturbing episode was the one with the cockroaches. Anyway it is not my bedtime so on to stitching my LDS sampler. Again, great show. Look forward to more from you both.
You ladies always make me smile and laugh. I am so glad that I subscribed to your channel. Until December 2020, I lived in Michigan my whole life. I don't miss the cold but I do miss the lakes and beautiful sunsets that I used to see every night. I grew up in Sterling, not Sterling Heights, and have lived in Grayling, Houghton Lake, and Roscommon before moving back to Sterling. I moved to Texas in 2020 after my second 25+ year relationships/marriages ended due to my ex-husband's alcoholism was causing major health issues for me due to the stress and his not wanting to quit drinking, which I knew was going to cause major issues down the road (and I was right, fast forward 2 weeks after the divorce was finalized, he lost his job due to drinking in the company vehicle while on the clock and then about a year later a serious accident which left him in a coma for 10 days and resultant neurological trauma which left him in various rehab centers for the next year). I told my mom that for about 2 cents I would move to Texas since my only daughter and son-in-law lived in Texas and she was about to give birth to my grandson, who is named after my dad who died at the age of 58 from multiple myeloma. I didn't want to be involved in my grandson's life only through technology. I just knew my mom would never leave Sterling and she was really not able to live on her own any longer since she was 83 at the time. Well, she shocked me and said what is to stop us from moving? She put her house up for sale, which sold within a month, so we packed up and moved to the Austin area of Texas. My grandson was born in January of 2021 and I have kept him overnight twice a week for a total of about 56 hours a week at a minimum since he was about 3 weeks old when he stopped breastfeeding and began taking formula. He is such a joy in my life. I have not regretted moving to Texas although I absolutely hate the Texas political climate. I basically prefer to be at home stitching and often stay up past everyone else's bedtime to stitch or watch floss tube. My mom and dad used to have a pug mix who was really a character. I started stitching Aurora Cabin, which is a Dimensions Gold kit, with over 50,000 stitches. I currently have at least 100 WIPs and am in the process of started 2 new kits every month for this year. I hate starting projects and have a lot of kits that I have had for years. This year I decided that I am going to start at least 24 of them. I spent good money on them and they sit there because I haven't started them. Once they are a WIP, I have no problems working on them. I am also part of the Magazine Monthly Cross Stitch Challenge group, have been since day 1 I believe or shortly thereafter. I am working on the Fox and Rabbit Mystery SAL. I work on smalls to large full coverage pieces. I believe my largest full coverage is Mini The Nativity by HAED but am thinking about starting Silent Night and Dogwood Cottage by The Cross Stitch Studio since I have found that I can stitch on 25 count without too much difficulty. I doubt they will ever get finished since I am going to be 68 this year but I may still start them anyway because I love the designs. You will find that when I comment, the comment is frequently long like this one. Kathy, your stash endowment is truly a blessing from your heavenly friend. Enjoy it all. Happy stitching to both of you. Dawn in Texas
Thank you for your kinds about our episodes! Getting to spend time with your grandson is priceless! I know my mom loved every minute of taking care of my son. We sincerely hope you can join us when we start holding Zoom stitching! Take care!
Love watching you! So happy you have your friend's floss and in time I'm guessing you will identify the mystery chart she had kitted up : ) I'll be Stitching past my bedtime tonight on my unicorn.
We love Bedtime Crew! Can we borrow that for different things? Thread drops for retreats, or possibly merch in the future! We will, of course, give you credit for being so clever, and give you some Bedtime Crew Swag!
Another thing you have in common is that if you look for the basic meaning of Kathy and Karen they both mean pure. I just found a cool floss cataloguing app called threadalog that has a lot of threads in there though I am thinking not everything you have. I put all the stitches into my owl past my bedtime.
Oh, wow! Our names are even linked! I believe 💯 that we were meant to be friends and stitching brought us together! Now we are expanding our stitchy circle of friends through Flosstube. Thank you so much for being one of our very special cyber stitchy friends!
@@Stitchingpastmybedtime I am Karen…my sister is Cathy…we have always teased our parents they named us the same thing. I am happy to be your cyber friend.
Hi Karen! This is Karen. Sorry for getting you channel name wrong. I love your videos. I will make sure to note the correction again next week! Your Owl stitch is amazing.
Congratulations on 200 plus subscribers. 🎉🎉 When it is my bedtime, it is later in the afternoon with you. Once it's your bedtime, depending on what time you go to bed, it's time for me to get up. Have fun in the cabin 🦌🦌 Happy stitching 🪡
I’ve been watching since the start of your adventures on you tube. So wonderful that you received the threads from your friend. She will be with you as you stitch using those beautiful colors. Since I knit in the evening and stitch in the daytime, I never stitch past my bedtime just knit past it. 😊 happy stitching.
Thank you for visiting with us! We truly feel like our subscribers are friends with kindred souls! I feel very blessed to have my friend’s threads! I’m sure she’s saying, “You have them now! Get stitching!”
My first visit…lots of fun. I will return and yes I like stitching zooms. I was working on Prairie Birds smalls while watching…I started all ten as 12x12NYE and have shown the first three on my last flosstube fully finished. I want to get them all done.
Another great video! love seeing all your projects and hearing your stories- although your terrible experience with Trixie gave me anxiety too, sounds awful : ( Would love to zoom stitch with you sometime!
I'm finally caught up Karen!! I've watched them all. The WIP parades make me nervous. Not because I don't have that many WIP's, but because you are dragging them out and showing them instead of hiding them away in shame, like I do! :) And I got a cone for my work anniversary gift last year!
Great wip parade! Love your wave. Hard to pick a favorite but Scarlett by Stacy Nash had me pausing to add to my wish list 😀happy new year to you both!
Scarlett might be coming out this month to add a little more length to her! Or I’m going to have to order her a mobility cart since she has no legs! And an FYI, Stacy Nash charts are the best!
Hello, I just found your channel. I also went to Jingle Ball and took classes and shopped but didn't really socialize, but like you said "next year." I am stitching on my Jingle Ball class project by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery (almost done), the Primrose Cottage sip and stitch projects, and I started the cardinal from Peppermint and Pine by Brenda Gervais in honor of my dad (his birthday was 12/16 and that is the day I started it). I have a few lingering wips because I broke my wrist this summer and couldn't stitch well for a few weeks. Looking forward to getting caught up with your videos and seeing what else you are stitching, I also watch C Zook's flosstube. After a long break from stitching, I just got back into stitching this year and flosstube is wonderful for sharing stitching projects and ideas. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you, also! We are glad your wrist healed and you are back to stitching! Wow! You are going gangbusters! So sweet of you to stitch something in honor of your dad! We plan to do Flosstube episodes every week and are so happy you will be on this journey with us.
Hello!! Your videos are really fun to watch!! Thank you for sharing them. I am stitching on my largest full coverage. Christmas shoppes byThe Cross Stitch Studio. It is 900 W x 700 H. I fell in love with it but I do wonder what the heck did I get myself into!!
Thank you for the kind words! Wow! 900 x 700! If you don’t mind, drop a photo to stitchingpastmybedtime@gmail.com. We would love to see your work and to share it with your permission!
Love your video and stitching. I am currently working on a Mill Hill kit and working an old kit called Flying Santa (on plastic canvas) but I love the pattern by Karen Avery and how it is turning out. It will make a great ornament.
Thank you for your kind words! You can search for Fiona on RU-vid and see how it took everyone from zoo staff to hippo experts in Africa to a team of pediatric IV nurses who kept her alive. She’s 6- years old now and has a pesky little brother named Fritz. I think I missed my calling in life - I should have been a zookeeper! LOL! ~ KF
Hi again, Ladies! Love the sugar skull! Love me a Mill Hill kit...they taught me how to bead, and I love beading! Your polar bear is looking good, Kathy! I blame the enabling of my Autumn Quaker on Carolyn, as I saw her finish on her flosstube! I have yet to start it! Loving your videos! Thank you for doing them! Many hugs!
I feel like Sally Field! “Joy Leesa likes us! She really likes us!” The seasonal Quakers, for me, was thanks to the Great Enabling Gary! I even bought his copy of Autumn Quakers and had him autograph it for me! ~ KF
