The original plastic shell is a single cast piece, the two halves can only be separated by cutting them. The key shown in the video was probably opened using a Dremel with a hacksaw blade. The video is misleading.
Seems to me that is the thumb-slider that you would normally use to get the physical key out of the fob. I don't think he's using it to remove the top part of the key. I think that chrome cap won't come off until you first remove that slider. The slider seems to just lift off if you can get a tiny pry underneath the end of the slider furthest from the keyring loop. @@adilkeys opening switch in my key fob is broken and want to replace it. I bought already new micro swtich for it. but new switch has 4 pins. but original switchs have 6pins. thus, I'm worrying to start soldering
