Trying to get my 11 yr old daughter into this sport . I loved it cause I was 6’5” 250 so I would throw my weight around I was physical guy in all the sports I played that actually transitioned into a 20 year military career high speed great sport
There were no jr lacrosse programs where I grew up, and the HS i attended didn't have a program either. I always wanted to learn how to play, though. It's a great game 💯
Does it matter whether I use a shooter string or a nylon string, and does different weaving strategies even matter? Like I must have seen 50 different ways but I have no idea if any of them are any different then the other lmao
Please help!! I cant get my string through that first hole more that twice! Is there another way to do it? Can I just settle for one loop through the mesh??
As you demonstrate the scoop I would emphasize that you are running to approach the ball. I prefer a cradle that is up around shoulder height. What is the advantage of that low cradle you demonstrate?
Thank you! Our son is just starting out this year (his senior year of high school) and lacrosse is very new to our area. This helps me to help him work on fundamentals.
Great Video - LAX newb here - Two Questions ----- 1. By "push/pull motion" when passing, do you mean push from the pivot-point (middle hand position) and pull from the bottom hand position? I see that this creates the right motion but just trying to make sure I understand. 2. For catching, I notice when practicing with the rebounder in the passing clip, the upper hand doesn't always move up to the head when receiving the rebound but is that the goal? Looks like the upper (dominant) hand should slide up the stick after the pass to the head to receive the catch? I'm probably overthinking but want to try to pass on good fundamentals to my boys. Thanks!
Why put a left-handed instructor to confuse newbies? We dont need that extra calculation and yeah sure anyone can play. but majority is not left handed. not to make you feel weird bro, its just that it adds unneccessary complexity upfront.
I want to start a youth lacrosse club in my area. What is a good place to start? I’m only played a little in HS. Can you tell me what is a good place to start looking?
my friend had a little crack in his hyper core at practice today i told him right before he went in it was probably gonna break and next thing you know it was broken and i told him that’s happens with these shafts next thing you know i’m in and snap my hyper core in 2
My son has the Maverik MX EKG Goalie Lacrosse Chest Pad and the adjustable shoulder straps constantly come loose!! Is there any way to get them to stay in place???
