Ida, I just found your story accidentally because I have not been able to get much sleep these last few days due to the loss of my 14 year old lab. He was a really great companion and always tuned in to me. He was very feeble toward the end and I feel I betrayed him by having him euthanized. I had a vet come to my home to do it, to save him the fear of a vet visit and the difficulty in getting him into a car without pulling and tugging at him. He did go very peacefully and I need to learn to forgive myself. Your farm is beautiful and similar to the terrane where I live in Pennsylvania. You may want to consider moving to the upper tier counties of this state. It is still quite remote in northern areas. Good luck on your search. I have subscribed and will be wishing you well where ever you land with all your farm friends. Near Bradford PA always records the coldest spot in the state during winter months. Look it up, with your talents you can live happily anywhere. Your skills impressed me during your fame repairs, Your compassion for your animals tells me all I need to know about you. Be well.
It breaks my heart you have gone through this. I went through this and when you look in my early videos, you’ll see my beautiful great Pyrenees Harriet basically this farm was home until she passed to me this farm is not the same without her among all the other things of course and I tell a lot about this through my story, but I feel for you, but I also do hope you forgive yourself. Yes, I know what that feels like, but you helpyou helped your baby go peacefully without more pain and I know it’s just incredibly hard, no matter how you look at it, I am thinking of you and thank you about the info on the upper state there. I am so sorry you, Willa, and Jajune had to go through that ordeal on the road. But you were all safe thank God. Dearest Ida I am so sorry you are such a scary time on this trip with your vehicle but so happy you had such kind help by two men that got you all to safety. I would have been as shaken as you were too. At last you are home safely with your babies . So glad you were able to get your kitty and calm them both down in your air conditioned camper. Truly a blessing. You managed to get a lot accomplished in your garden. The heat has been pretty bad here in Northern California too. Er got teased with temps in the 80’s but back to over 100 degrees days and late 90’s recently. I’d love to have some rain like Lisette had recently to clear the air. You are brave, resilient and did the right thing calling 911 for help. My triple A didn’t help my brother and I when we had a blow out on the interstate in Alabama either. Very frustrating when you think you have road emergency situation covered Not sure how often you check mail but hope it’s soon. Let me know if my letter reached you. Yes, having a harness for traveling pets is such a very important point. How utterly scary being stuck at that hour and location. Good evening Ida. Over time I have got to know you through your channel. You are a person with a lot of deterination. You are one to grasp whatever and make it work or make it better. You have dreams Ida which I have seen the ups and downs of working forward to meet those dreams. Some things in our lives happen for a reason and sometimes we wonder what that raeason might be. You have always shown us through your music, through your videos of your good times and yes, your bad times. You have always been there for us. You have showed us your beautiful farm and what it takes to dig a garden, mow a field, spread your love amoung your animals, You have showed us having your land basically washed away with a fierce storm and replish the ground with bountyful flowers and vegetables. All the time with a smile and never giving up. We listen to your music and had the privledge of watching you put together bits and pieces to make such lovely music. We set with you while you read us a story and watch and enjoy how you teach us how to care for our bodies and not only us as humans but how to care for your animals. You are now struggling through life with keeping things going on the farm and through no fault of your own finding times right now that are causing a dream of yours to become a reality. I admire you Ida, I admire you. Sometimes in life a helping hand makes things seem so much bearable. I want to ask this question and its a small idea that with helping hands could in a small way show graditude to you for all these years of videos and music that you have shared with us. Wow. Is that a V-6? I assume you're in the range for towing capacity? I'm guessing that trailer weighs 25-2800 lbs.? Now I want to Macguyver an ingenious aftermarket AC for the engine , has its own freon- freakout tank... Yes there ARE good people out there. I think I told you about my latest bike trailer snafu (and total freakout) where I lost my Molle Pack , with my phone, wallet, keys, camera, everything... But got it back, phew. Tacoma deal number 4 is probably going to crash. Good advice on the harness. Yeah, sheps are slippery with the collar thing.
Yes, I remember you telling me about that. Also, my trailer is topped out and packed at 1200 pounds. It’s very light. It’s actually about half what the Land Cruiser is rated to pull. I never really wanted to pull anything more than what I’ve got …last year when I did the Canada and Vermont runs, everything was great. I think it had a lot to do with the weather 95/98° weather is just not good on the truck… keep looking for the right vehicle!🥰

Ohhh no Ida. Having problems on the road is no fun. I can relate. Every time I travel out i40 thru The Great Smoky Mountains heading for i81 north I pray I do not have vehicle troubles on that narrow stretch of interstate, especially going thru the tunnels 😳 the 18 wheelers are limited to right lane only and 55mph speeds so if you end up in breakdown lane they would be flying right by anyone. And yeah, it has been a hot n droughty summer here in the Blue Ridge Mtns also so my gardens, veggie, and flowers needed daily watering and really did better than most. I'm happy you got your pets back when they went on the runoff adventure. Glad you got AAA and help from the trooper and got to safety. Darn vehicles!!!... Ooooo!!!! i’m going to want to bring this with me. I actually have two. They are the old milk bottlers when this was a dairy farm isn’t it neat looking? It’s all stainless and I think some galvanized but I also have the big milk chiller I need to show a tour of a lot of this stuff that still here because it’s very very interesting and beautiful to me🍶
