Wow, exceptional reaction! Love the depth of analysis. Can't wait for your next Tori reaction. I would suggest an epic solo piano track like Apollo's Frock or Mother.

Bravo Chanté!! Bravo Dimash!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Dimash is the best vocalist in the entire galaxy! For the lucky ones who will be able to attend the next 2024 concerts: November 22, Prague, Czech Republic. November 24, Düsseldorf, Germany.

On 2021, December 9, Dimash Qudaibergen’s fan club in Japan presented an interview with the famous Japanese lyricist, author of the text “Ikanaide” Goro Matsui. The Japanese poet first heard “Ikanaide” performed by Dimash at the Jubilee of the Tokyo Jazz Festival, which was held on November 28, 2021. On his official Twitter account, Goro Matsui wrote: “I’ve heard ‘Ikanaide’ sung by foreign singers in their native language many times, but this is the first time anyone has sung it so beautifully in Japanese.”

I'd love to hear you talk more about her playing and compositions. This song is from a very improvisational album that included a lot of bluesy and jazzy sounds from the American south and it included several songs on which she played harpsichord or harmonium. She has recorded other albums in other styles, including a classical song cycle on which she adapted compositions from classical male composers and grated lyrics onto them to create an album-length narrative fantasy story of a journey through a 'dark night of the soul.'

You are so on point, Tori’s piano playing is often an extension of how’s she’s feeling in the moment. She’ll have a basic structure but will dance around it, capturing the story with accents, volume, and a heavy left hand.

you should definitely react to more of tori's stuff - she's literally a musical genius. and incredibly proficient. her studio recordings are top-notch, but her live performances are on a whole other level. she tends to "remix" her songs when performing live - no two renditions are ever exactly the same, which is pretty amazing...

He sings the Chinese version as well. And most singers use dynamics when singing. When you have a conversation with someone, are you speaking only in monotone?

Maynard is extremely well-known. His most famous band is Tool. Your thumbnail says you can't believe she's popular, so I was prepared to think you hated it. 😂 She's definitely not popular, but her fan base is loyal and has followed her for decades. Her background is being trained classically from ages 5-11 & getting kicked out because she hated reading sheet music and wanted to listen to Led Zeppelin, etc. A couple years later her dad chaperoned her while she played nightclubs in D.C. Starting at gay bars and later hotels where all the politicians and lobbyists hung out to drink. Especially notable because he was a pastor and it wasn't a popular decision with his congregation. She's basically a modern Mozart. They both could play entire concerts from memory when barely more than toddlers. She taught herself starting at age 2 and had a knack since she has synesthesia - she sees music as structures of light.

Dimash originally performed a version of this song on the Chinese show Singer in 2017 and sang it in Chinese. The translations between the two versions, Japanese and Chinese, are significantly different. The version from 2017 is titled Autumn Strong or Late Autumn.

Hahaha ❤ I had so much fun watching this (specially in the end hahahahah) , thank you guys! I had the most amazing time in China, I felt so happy to be there singing and meeting so many amazing artists, I miss it already!!!! My grandmother is indigenous, and some references I sing can remind something Irish but they are actually from Brazilian deep ways of singing and indigenous music from my country. Sending love to you two ❤ thank you for the video

This lat gesture is quite common in many parts of the world. Ok, in China it is very, very common😅 and he lived there for a few years. But also elsewhere it is just a gesture when, you want to ask for something or just to calm yourself. (…. or you want to pray.). Actually it is quite common gesture for Dimash.

Since Latin America's nations were colonized by Spain and Portugal, mainly, it surely has influence from their cultures, but what makes this style special is how lively, passionate and intense they are. It happens due the rich indigenous cultures that Latin American countries have and how they are mixed and transformed by cultures from all around the world, considering the many immigrations that those nations received over the years, especially Brazil. Alexia is a Brazilian singer, who sings in Portuguese (her native language) and english, she also plays instruments from Brazilian Northern region, belonging to traditional music styles from this region, greatly influenced by African and native people. But she also admires European pagan culture, so she adds Celtic and Nordic rhythm to her songs; which possibly has relation to her ascendency. Therefore, she creates an adorable expression of diversity through music. Her main themes are the connection with nature and women empowerment. Thanks for reacting 😊

I'm not sure if you know this, but you can change the volume of your voice when singing if you have trained dynamically. His vocal dynamics are unreal, you don't need mixing to achieve this.

First of all, it's a good thing you discovered who is considered the best vocalist in the world. As newbies, I suggest you learn more about all kinds of music and singers if you say you study music. Second, maybe you don´t know, because you don´t Dimash at all, he likes to make covers his own, and adds a little something different so he doesn´t always deliver the same version. Third, I doubt he made that hand gesture without knowing it would be disrespectful to Japanese people, and even if he didn´t know about it, he wouldn´t do it on purpose. But I can see you are very traditional and not open to something different, and it´s ok, not all people allow themselves to be captured or captivated by new, different singers. Maybe it´s not your time.

Guys this is Dimash's interpretation cannot compare to the original. To start with what Dimash can do with his voice, I doubt there will be anyone out there who can match him, he is a genius, the original song is sung by a very famous singer, but technically and voice there are no comparisons, who can you compare Dimash talent too? not many out there. He changes the tones, highs and lows to give the song more character, more feeling in his own way, as one of you said, if you sing the same part the same way it would be very boring, so Dimash uses his voice dynamics to give the song the feeling and sentiment he feels in asking her not to go away. I've heard both versions, the original very nice and powerful, Dimash's version very impressive, something only he could do, no-one else out there could take this song and make it better, but he has.

There are no engineers, this is live-streamed for the Tokyo plus Jazz Festival, in one take, as required by the rules. Koji Tamaki liked it. There is no auto tune, no enhancements, he doesn't need any of that. If u want to compare them, Him and Tamaki, do it, u will find them very, very similar.

Tomando en cuenta el nombre del vídeo, infiero que el "Yes" es del japonés y el " But" del chino, que no hace otra cosa que buscar argumentos para desvalorizar a Dimash. Mi humilde opinión.
