@rafaf777 no, the cadmium filter makes the tube yellow, without it the tube would emit more blue and green light, ruining the color. It is safe when the tube is intact, but causes cancer when inhaled or touched. Newer tubes (for example Philips) have a pale yellow color when turned off, that's because they use a different filter which is safer
@@rafaf777 it emits more light than European de luxe lamps, but it has slightly lower cri. You can achieve a similar effect by mixing a halophosphate daylight lamp and a 3500/4000K tri phosphor

I like T12 lamps, but they take a lot more space in my collection than T8 and T5 lamps. Also their low output and usually low CRI doesn't make things better I only have Piła 20W daylight and Philips 20W/33-640
i love T12s, i wish they were still present here in italy like the USA. triphosphor lamps with high lumen output and high CRI ones are available, you just need to find them
