Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about your trail camera! There are a lot of bad people in the world, but there are some nice ones too! I enjoy your videos, and I try to comment when I get the chance. This time, I had to comment! I'm willing to donate $25 toward a new trail camera for you!!! My wife and I are on a fixed income, but I can afford to do this for you!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🥰

Very sorry to hear of thief and litter. I use Browning trail cams which also sell trail cam “security boxes” and then I run a cable through that, wrap around tree, and locks. I suspect other brands have similar options. Another friend told me to label with “Camera 4 - so you better get them all” as further deterrent.

Love getting the short eared owls sightings! I usually hope my 3 little ones don't spook stuff, but they are really patient to give them credit.

It's good to get them out there and learning about the natural world. I am not sure if it was him who spooked the owls, as there were also few people walking about out of their cars. We had just a very brief window of time with the Short-Eared Owls. Sometimes he is really good about our adventures and other times, well not so much. I have to remind myself patience is a virtue.

Close to my house is an old oak tree. I consider it to be a heritage tree. Over two years years ago, I picked up some acorns and planted them. I now have a two year old oak tree, a direct descendant of an old tree who’s days are numbered (construction has started very nearby) and I hope to find a safe and permanent home for this little oak. I probably only have a couple of years left before it needs to go in the ground. I’m hoping that a local park in my town will adopt and love it.

Nice video and good to see your son with you. Some of my best quality days are when my son joins me. I spend a ton of time photographing stars as well as grubbing about in forest to photograph anything that catches my eye on the macro scale. I like your compositions and you clearly know what you like. If I might suggest, you could work on image-focus. I notice you were using manual focus (which is fine) but, not so easy when getting comfortable involves having your knees in mud or bending over a tripod and trying to keep your balance. To that end, I dress for comfort and warmth with the expectation of getting dirty. My clothes go straight in the wash when I get home, even if they are still clean. There are other bugs that can hitch a ride and I don't want them in the house. Keep posting.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback. Getting the focus just right has been a frustration for me but my macro lens is completely manual. I do have some more macro videos to put together for the future as well as some wildlife. I don't mind getting dirty and we do tick checks when we get inside and change!

Sweet. Proof of extended parenthood by cottontails against all the so called “science” that they are independent at 4 weeks when the size of a grapefruit. No other mammals do this, so why should rabbits and hares? They stay together at least three months if not lifetime. Unfortunately the licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialists go by the “science” and release rescued babies at 4 weeks of age and size of a grapefruit. Barely a snack for a hawk, crow or even squirrel. They still need mom and family until GROWN. This video proves it.

Tufted Titmice are territorial and we've only been feeding the birds in winter the past two and a half years which is also roughly what their life span is. Teton does have a wife who comes too but is a bit more timid than Teton.

Such a fun adventure in a beautiful area! Thanks for talking about packing out what you pack in, a lot of folks don't realize they should be doing that for some reason.

Thanks, I appreciate your support! We run into people leaving stuff behind all the time! We stayed at a campsite once where the animals had become habituated to humans and their "stuff". I woke in the middle of the night and thought something was climbing our tent. I made some noise and went back to sleep. We woke to multiple holes in the screens of our tent so camping was out for us for for a while. Folks don't seem to understand just how important leave no trace is.
