Wow Shannon! Love the pic of you, David Hall, Dave Walton and the gang. Dave Walton befriended me when I was 13 and put me on a commercial for Port-o-Call Records. We stayed in touch for years after. And you came out to the lobby once to give me advice about becoming a DJ. You basically said to find any and every opportunity to get on the radio, even if it seems like no big deal. I was about 16 then. I'm 60 now and so thankful to have those memories.
Too bad this guy decided to do little girls under 12 years old now he’s on the sex offender list for life and forced to live in a crappy van on a North Carolina beach so he doesn’t have to get a proper sex offender registry address.🚶♀️🤪
He has the honor of the most influential Coach of all time. Being named about a huge band like Skynyrd, there's never been another Coach as a household name like Leonard.
When I was a kid, I judged all rock stations I heard other places against KDF. Most of them sucked compared to KDF. This station was the Godfather of Rock Radio in the mid-south. When I heard country on 103.3, it stung. So wrong to this day.
Your street-level distributor for pure rock and roll, WKDF! ~~ Good times in the late 80s and early 90s. ~~ I seem to remember in addition to Shannon in the midday and Ian & The Duke in the mornings that catchy advertisement that played on KDF for The Stockyard steakhouse in the late 80s and early 90s.

The Picture you have of you and Jon Bon Jovi, I was actually in that picture too. The date was February 20, 1989 at MTSU. I remember it so well because well I met Jon and You but also because I had severe panic attacks then and my mom called you to see if I could get back stage. She wanted to make sure I went to the concert. My mom and Dad ended up backstage with me. I want to thank you so very much for doing that for me so long ago. It meant the world to me. My name then was Denise Oldham.
