Four States Legislators have wised up and reversed Qualified Immunity for Career Criminal Police Officers, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Montana. Smart decisions because they are tired of the Tax Payers paying for LEO's cowardice ways. Qualified Immunity needs to be reversed in all states. Cops have gone rouge, they don't care if you sue because the tax payers pay for the suit, you and I. Not only do they not deserve Qualified Immunity but they should be required by law to submit to at least two psych evaluations a year paid from their own pockets to keep their job, done by Qualified Professionals not affiliated with any police association or union. This will weed out the bad cops. A northern California sheriff’s department stripped 47 deputies - 10% of the force - of their guns and arrest powers because they failed psychological exams, it was reported on September of 2022. They have become nothing but Career Criminals with badges! In John 10:10 we're told that Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy. I think he has recruited most of the LEO's, Judges and Prosecuting Attorney's in this Country! In some states an officer is only required to take 600 hours of training but to become a barber it take 4000 hours, 6.6 times longer. How right is that? The only sane conclusion you can come up with is that LEO's are stupid, corrupt and evil!
I didn't realize how badly I was affected of my violent experience until I listened to this. Very insightful. Made me understand more. Thank you for being so brave in sharing your story :)!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. I’m only hoping to let people know they aren’t alone and that there is help! Please feel free to share openly.
As a veteran and outstanding cop, he is also a stellar speaker having detailed a harrowing and heroic police rescue with an important message about how PTS is an injury to first responders - not a disorder. Thank you for sharing.
If they dont want to put them in shelters because of the virus, why are they releasing prisoners from prison because of the virus? Thank you for the info Sandra and Mike!
Thank you so much for taking the time to listen! Please feel free to share this openly. The more who have the opportunity to listen, the more people we can ultimately help. Just remember there is help! You just have to ask for it...........
Mike, this is so important to all who carry the memories and effect of what they have seen and done. Thank you for putting this out there. Please know that I do understand what you are saying and that you are surrounded by those who support you, as are all of us with this challenge. You have become a beacon for those who seek a way out of the "dark room" that has engulfed their life; thank you for your bravery. I'm proud to know you.
Thank you, Michael, for sharing your story. PTSI & Resilience is a great title for your talk. As a retired psychotherapist who had the honor of working with combat veterans, I understand that you have to go along with the PTS"D" for disorder label in order to access professional mental health services and Workers Comp. And I fully support and appreciate your personal choice to talk about your experience as an "Injury", a much better label to describe the aftereffects of your accumulated trauma, as well as the complex, unique process that helped you heal and experience post-trauma growth. I hope that any veteran hearing your story recognizes that there are therapists providing effective trauma-focused psychotherapy other than the time-limited, cookbook treatments that focus on techniques to reduce PTS"D"symptoms that the VA promotes. The challenge, similar to what first responders face, is finding a competent therapist who uses an integrative, individualized trauma-focused approach who also understands military culture.
