I now know why the plastic was cut. Just went to change mine on my ‘07 Avalanche and it comes SEALED from the factory. I will have to get my dremel and actually cut a notch out like the previous owner did to this one. No other way!
Do you have spark, fuel, and compression? Check for spark and check for pulse at your fuel injectors. Make sure they’re powering on and clicking. Let me know what you find.
On this vehicle in the video the rear left was the only one not working. … If only one of your windows is working perhaps the motors in all the rest of the doors are worn out. It could also be the master switch on the driver’s door. Does it work if you use the switch on the corresponding door? Listen for a straining noise from motor in the door when pressing the button. It you hear a noise, like the motor trying to move then most likely the motor is old and worn out. If you don’t hear anything chances are that it is electrical. ( fuses, relay, ect.)
Any chance you know how to do the timing setting from scratch? My timing chain competently broke. I have purchased new components and want to reassemble. BUT.. I am guessing that even if I align the 2 marks with the chain, there still is likely 1 of 4 rotations that the crank and cams could be on? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Once the marks are aligned, that’s all you’ll need to do. That’s how it’s done Bro. And if your kit comes with everything, it may come with instructions, which will be extra helpful. A lot of Nissans just use marks on the sprockets and chain.
How do you sync they threw a 2 x 4 op they have planers it is perfectly straight. No you can’t use a planer on a head you can use a belt sander. You can use a planer before they had machines they done it this way, and it always worked now we have technology to use Laser perfect machines but this way works people don’t have deep pockets. They have to compromise. They have to get their vehicles on the road. They got a warpage in the head they could clean it up with sandpaper it works. It does a job it’s old-school trick a lot of people don’t have deep pockets for the machine shop parts are outrageous machine shops are outrageous.
You have to be careful and push fairly hard on that clip. And while pushing that clip pulled the glass up words. It is kind of difficult I admit. First of all, you have to have the window in the right position to be able to get a screwdriver or object through there to push the tab to unlock the window. Also, be careful not to break the window when sticking a screwdriver or such like in there.
What kind of sound do you experience before replacing the tensioner pulley? I am experiencing a chirping sound when in D mode and i already replaced the serpentine belt but the chirping sound are still there. 😢

Yeah lol I’m just used to holding the key. I know some of those just start by first touch like my car. I guess they’re the Hybrid version to the push button start or something.
Would have been a good idea to show your way of removing the intake. Another guy did it but he took of many little parts and sensors which yours does look like they are removed, only if you could show what you exactly removed. This video doesnt help me as I know thats how you remove ghe starter but not sure of how many parts I need to remove and which way us easiest.
Sorry, I didn’t help you too much. When I was looking how to remove the starter, I couldn’t find any information. Period. I didn’t even know where the starter was in the first place so I thought Id make this little video basically just to show you where the starter is. I’m glad you found another video that was more specific.
I had the issue of the connector to the rear bulb assembly, not having a thick enough ground wire, so the housing had melted around the ground wire. I ended up soldering a second ground wire between the two, which has worked perfectly so far.
Thank you for this. I started with the initial take out the screws then start prying and yanking and the door panel wasn’t budging so I thought I better check on RU-vid lol. I’ve done regulators probably close to 10 vehicles over the years and this one is near the top on the pain in the ass scale. Made better by this video. 👍
Glad it helped👍🏽 note: disconnecting the glass from the regulator itself can be a pain. In my case, the cable connecting the regulator to the glass was completely rusted away so I did not have to deal with this when taking off the old one.
