Just curious, I have a 2013 F150 FX2 experiencing a blend door actuator issue. I have heat on the passenger side and cool on the driver's side. I've seen videos saying the cause of this was due to the one on the very bottom. What did the actuator you replaced on the driver's side control?
@@steveboles3958 I’m not 100% sure which part of the system it controls, but it was clicking so that was enough to make me replace it. If you call the parts dept at any Ford dealership, they can tell you exactly which one does what.
That reminds me, do you have video of that rear end conversion? I've done the same to my R129 but boy this SL looks real nice. 3:57 is one of those @Leesgarage7 on YT in Texas?
@@mrnobodysgarage Yeah so far so good on my end. I had to convert to a front steer rack for exhaust clearance. It just barely fits under the hood but it is in there. I had to chop a little in the tunnel for the 4L80E but that won't take much to patch. I just like the idea of running a rear end that has LSD and cheap parts. What did the builder use for axles out back? I had to chop both Merc and Ford units and tig weld them together.
@@alexanderjones6383 appeared to be stock axles into the Ford center section. There was an extra homemade brace that ran up the middle of the cover and bolted to the bottom of the car.
In my 2013 f150 lariat ecoboost my driver side works heat A'/C etc but the passenger side doesnt get hot air which acuator would that be the one on the top or the one the bottom i have the recirculator accuator behind the glvoe box to put in but i dont think reciruculator accuator controls the heat on passenger side. any help before i decide to tear into it.
@@benjaminhiggs4052 I believe it one of the two that are behind the infotainment screen. One is up high, the other down low. You can call the parts dept at a Ford dealer or do what I did and just listen/feel for the one that was clicking.

@@badmechanic91 well that sucks. I would post on Ferrarichat. I know there were a couple places that did it but the place in Pompano had the best reviews.
@@opethmike I budgeted for the “swap” but it’s all of the other stuff the car has needed that becomes a killer. There have been quite a few things I didn’t know along the way that I wish I had more info on to begin with. Hopefully this is helpful to someone wanting to do this swap.
@mrnobodysgarage won't fit. Had to remove the gas pedal. The gas pedal is far too close to get to the tip 8mm bolt. You can get to the bottom with a ratchet wrench.
@@mrnobodysgarage I think I'm ok with the ribbed version. I just want to close that hole. I figured it would have to come from ebay or amazon once I get the name and search around
Just did this and it worked great! I replaced the two 50 fuses but the one second in from left side did have a contact that had play in it. Thanks again!
Have a 2011 f150 platinum,all of the blend doors quit working , calibrated twice ,checked fuse still done of them work,I the past 2 years 3 have been replaced, now they all blow hot air.nobody can tell us what is wrong with them
They don't even break. The computer in the truck is programmed to stop recognizing certain components throughout the life of the truck, so you keep spending money on the truck long after you have paid the vehicle off.
@@mrnobodysgarage I will do the fuse that you said controls the start up! Start there first anyways. Did you Disconnect the Neg - before you did anything?
