Hey guys, my name is Matt and I am a car enthusiast. I've always wanted to make reviews that not only go over basic specs, but give the viewer as close of an idea to how a car drives without visiting a dealer. Making car reviews is my passion and I hope I can grow my channel, it is something I want to do forever. Feel free to subscribe if you enjoy my content!
When u get a luxury car, every car is pretty much confusing.Thats the gift the curse and the beauty. You get to get the owners manual and FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF 💯
Clean ride. The 3.5, which I own has the best engineered engine. Like the others said, it has the oil burning issue. Seems like this would have been a recall. 45K...thats very low mileage.
HATE IT OR LOVE IT one of the most debated acuras in history. The old GRILL argument instead of overall argument. I got 2 off those GRILLS (auto/manual) and two of the best performance vehicles I've owed or driven. I always tell ppl until you drive an SH AWD you are missing out on something special. Great video😊
My son has the exact same 2014 with the A-Spec kit. The only upgrade we’ve done is a K&N drop in filter, JDM performance chip and XLR8 full cat to back. Along with using only Shell 93, it drives amazing!
Can't go wrong with that lovely Honda 3.5L J35 VTEC V6. It's a really smooth engine, it sounds amazing, especially when you get past that 5000 rpm mark, you hear that VTEC :) I'm sad that a lot of the new Honda products don't use this older J35 engine anymore, and the new one doesn't have VTEC so it just isn't the same. Plus it's a natually aspirated V6 engine, which is pretty much an extinct breed now sadly. And yeah the ZF 9-speed is not the best transmission, but Honda and Acura really tuned it the best they can in order to make it more responsive for sure. Definitely better than when it first came out.
Not sure if you know this or not but it is actually designed to be able to compete with infinity Mercedes BMW it's a secret! Real talk though what I told you was actually true🎉
@@austinse1476 that is a good point. If you were around when the 4th gen came out it was a love hate thing without a test drive or even interior look. It was just THE GRILL which wasn't fair. Once I drove it, I was all set and got two of them. I'm mos def keeping the six speed for sure
I drive a modded 2013 with only 62k Miles! - best car I'll ever own! Just installed a brand new JVC touchscreen head-unit! It's doable.. search on YT - Acura Audio Garage. They'll show you how.
I own one of these in the 2012 SHAWD, bought new. It is indeed a performer, but those 3.7 L engines, ALMOST ALL of them burn oil beginning around 70k-100k due to a faulty piston oil ring configuration. At 47K, you don’t have that problem just yet, but it WILL begin to burn oil at a high rate as the miles increase. The 3.5 L front wheel drivers don’t have this problem.
@@dynamicdrives not all develop it and many were covered for a rebuild under their warranty, early oil change intervals have kept mine low despite no rebuild and high mileage. it isnt make or break to me, topping off a little bit of oil once ever other month doesnt change my love for this car.
Do 2 oil changes each year regardless of K - I started using 1/2 quart Lucas oil stabilizer each oil change and replace your PCV valve every 30K. It definitely improves the oil consumption issue.
@@lornestein7248I change the oil at 50% . The PCV change and oil stabilizer also helps. I don’t have oil consumption issue and I’m at 150,000 kilometres.
mine is 140k km, and i just learn that both camshaft are garbage and it consume 4l/5000km of oil. i'm really sad because everything else is tight and solid. it's a 5000$ job so i'm not doing it
@AcuraPerformance I've been eyeballing your channel. Cool content. I've recently become a new owner of a 4th gen SH-AWD manual. What would you suggest as far as the most transformative upgrades
@@the_anton_kabanov nice! Congratulations on your unicorn. It’s definitely worth keeping forever. Do you have an Instagram account? I can send you more links and information easier lol.
