I went to a Judas Priest concert about 20 yrs ago with a girlfriend at the time. We both thought the band kicked ass but Halford's voice just drove us out of the arena. We left about 3/4 the way through the concert, neither one of us could take it anymore. He must have screamed that same note at least 30 times that night. At which point I told my girl that "If he screams that note one more time I gotta go". It wasn't 5 seconds later he did it again. I just never understood the lure of that guy and why he's so popular? His band however was outstanding.
That's literally some of the worst noise I've heard come out of a guitar I'm a very very long time. I always knew he was a weak player but this shit sounds like the howl of a rapid wildebeest during mating season!
I have a friend that has played guitar for well over 20 years. He drinks a dozen or so PBRs daily. I think that’s his secret to sounding like Ace, even if he’s not trying to.
@cschmitty75 Stupid comment. I'm not a guitarist or claim to be. Frehley is so overrated and credited for work he never did because he was an unfunctioning drunk and carried by the rest of the band...who by the way are shitty musicians as well
