@@LBS1422 Yeah...I always wondered how mapping videos could get so long, and the series started out quite short. But I quickly realized in order to pay off the plotlines in a satisfying manner whilst being well paced, you get this lol
@@Ariel1039 Think of it as their government or presidents, it can get complicated I know. Not nearly as complicated as other series which have countries in the hospital or in bars getting drunk, yes that actually happened
The little surprise was instead a... great surprise. It has left me not crying, but at least with a lump in my throat. The words of affection and forgiveness between these two good people deceived by the Evil. The torment, which afflicts Peter II in particular, that the Evil is now seemingly "in charge" because of being shortsighted. And yet the willingness and faith to leave everything in the hands of the Almighty. Thank you Kaiser. We needed this (at least, I needed it). Let me write down what once St. Augustine said: "the forgiveness of the Lord... that nobody can measure."
@@maxdepasquale2351 I'm glad you enjoyed the final scene. I did feel that the best way to give Nova Regna an epilogue of sorts was to bring closure between Martino and Caccia, since they did not leave off on good terms. Now the fate of the Church is unknown, but surely someone will try and do something, right?
@@ZeKaiserVG Well, the soul of Martino has been clear I reckon... "let me show you how that demon will be slaughtered" or something like that. So, now we know the end. One question, which I put down to my usual bad memory. Even Martino regrets the fact that he should have recognized the Evil among them, rather than unleashing his rage against Pope Peter II. But what might he have realized? It's not that Woelki was supporting Peter II above anything else, or secretly prodding him... P.S. As a definition, "enjoyed" that scene falls short. I "loved it" is more appropriate.
@@maxdepasquale2351 It's all in retrospect, but he knew little of the situation since Woelki and Hollerich mainly kept to themselves. As would anyone after a revelation like this, he wishes he could have done something, but as you said, there was little he could have done, especially given his age at the time.
@@ZeKaiserVG Besides, thanks for beautiful score played then, and the wonderfully poetic expression "Pearly gates". Also, even though you are not Catholic, you depicted a Pope and a cardinal in such respectful ways (Well, the real Reiner Woelki may have something to say...:-) ). I much appreciate it. In Catholicism, St. Peter is often thought to stand at the entrance of Heaven, welcoming the souls in there and exchanging a few words with them. I wonder what St. Peter would discuss with the two, and what he would have told the one who took his name 😀
@@maxdepasquale2351 True, that would be an interesting exchange wouldn't it? I envision the scene as the gates being open while Martino stands there ready to greet Caccia when he enters Heaven. St. Peter could have greeted him afterwards, or watched from close by
@@TriggeredExplosion True, part of the reason why I made this, is that I wanted to create something akin to series I've rewatched before like Varna or Imperial's AHOE, since you can only rewatch them so many times, I felt I might as well create something
@@TriggeredExplosion Additionally, I wanted to make it distinct from other series that had way too much overhumanization, or 100 characters that was just insane like Astral's and Denia's, delivering a plot that I find satisfying, whilst not devolving into madness
There’s a little surprise at the end of the movie ;) (07:53:56, don't watch it if you haven't seen the other episodes first lol) LIST OF IMPORTANT ALTERATIONS FROM THE ORIGINAL EPISODES Praeludium(Episode 1)-2nd song was changed from No Time for Caution to The Dark Age by Secession Studios to avoid copyright Tumultuari(Episode 2)-1st song was changed from the Last Immortal by Audiomachine to We Made this War by Immediate Music and the 3rd song was changed from the Cherubic Hymn to the Litany of the Saints to avoid copyright Angustia (Epsidoe 5)-2nd song was changed from Pushin On by 2Wei to Heaven and Hell by Jeremt Blake (from the RU-vid Audio Library) in order to avoid copyright Interitum (Episode 7)-the 9th song was changed from the Hill House by Audiomachine to All That We Are by Audiomachine
The scene where Hollerich is imprisoned hits hard with that song. It makes one feel the darkness of the dungeon and the endless days spent wasting away and decaying, alongside the utter despair of the scene.
I wonder who will be the troublemaker in Britain's alliance. Judging by his past actions and personality I would guess Denmark, but they would be a weak troublemaker
Hmm... perhaps Colombia/Venezuela? I think that things in Southern America are never been that stable for long... or Kenya, which may take advantage of his neighbours...
@@minchy9094 I'm glad I did not disappoint! If you're unaware, this is a continuation of my prior series Nova Regna, so if you want to know the context behind this video, you should check it out! (And you'd get to see as of now, the 2nd longest mapping video!)
This was worth the wait. I really enjoyed this episode because it gives the feeling that former alliances are tattering apart and new ones are bound to form. And the plot being further centered around Woekli is getting high stakes really fast. Probably that's the best part.
@@MandelaAffecter I said this in the premiere chat but the AEM out of all the alliances I'd say is the most close-knit, since out of all the alliances from the Calamity they won the most without losing anything, unlike alliances like the EACA (China). Nonetheless the world is indeed becoming much more multi-polar, in a superpower-less world no less. Btw, what do you make of the flashforward from the beginning?
I have a random idea for the fall of Canada: it seems like the villain here, so maybe how it falls is that the UK shows WDL proof that Canada framed Germany, and so Canada is kicked out and invaded. However, the Uk and its commonwealth decide not to exactly join. The rebels in Canada are: the Kingdom of Northern Colombia (funded by the AEM), the Cosmic State of Ontario (funded by the Cosmic state, and eventually it instead becomes the Cosmic State of Northern Ontario instead) Republic of Newfoundland (funded by WDL) Republic of New Brunswick (funded by the Uk) Quebec (rebelled on their own) Sultanate of Vancouver (funded by Turkestan and Uyghurstan) Nunavut (rebelled on their own) Fredonia, Alaska, and the kingdom of Faroe and Greenland additionally also invade Canada in this.
@@Elijah-gr4ps Very interesting and thought out analysis. I will say I have everything regarding Canada planned out, so you could be on the mark or I could throw 10 curveballs your way, you never know!
@@TriggeredExplosion I've been working on Nova Terra for a bit but I did not realize that until now. The mapping pack I used literally labeled it as Ireland I am so confused. Well it's time to go fix a bunch of slides...
I feel for Hollerich... but he, of all people, should know that the Lord works in mysterious ways. Also, I wonder why the demon did explain things to him. Demons don't do favors, it must think it'll get something in the end...
@@maxdepasquale2351 Poor Hollerich has lost a lot, for over a year he's been locked in a decrepit, dilapidated prison whilst Woelki ensnares the Church in his grasp. Btw what do you make of the flash forward at the beginning?
@@ZeKaiserVG But what does the demon gain from telling Hollerich its plan and change thereof? Demons have no sympathy whatsoever for human beings. They can do something for you only if they will have something in return. Not sure you mean for the flash forward, it's late here...
@@maxdepasquale2351 Because Woelki wants Hollerich to feel like there's nothing he can do, and it's all his fault that whatever his true endgame is will occur, thus plunging him into agony and despair, but I meant the flashforward at the beginning lol
@@ZeKaiserVG Then it makes more sense. Woelki wants Hollerich to believe that he won't be able to prove his innocence... ... which obviously it is not entirely true, or Woelki wouldn't have tried to dissuade Hollerich from attempting anything. P.S. Ironical may it seem, demons know very well that God exists. That bit of sentence "send that fool to his supposed Lord" might mean the opposite.
@@maxdepasquale2351 Consider the Prologue and how the Cardinals, old and new for the time being are infatuated with Clement XV, which can be paralleled to a majority of the WDL being enthralled with Canada as its leader, in both cases there are those who know they're innocent, but both cases will be resolved in different manners
I will preface that going forward, the outline for Nova Terra is much clearer than Nova Regna, and it's allowed me to set up plot points further in advance, so keep your eyes peeled! This was the last episode that had production in 2023, with production beginning in late November of that year, but I didn't finish it until about early-mid January of 2024.
