Welcome to the official English RU-vid Channel of Travel Sing Fly ✈️
➡️ I'm Chris. I've been crazy about planes since childhood. My family and friends are spread all over the planet. As an opera singer and also privately, I'm constantly on the go - With way over 100, detailed reports on my two channels, everything here is about airlines - low-cost, economy, business class and first class -, but also about hotels and exciting travel destinations worldwide, on all continents - with lots of tips, insider knowledge and, above all, always honest.
We explore some of the best airlines and also some of the worst, paying with both cash and miles. I am also quite the foodie and a wine lover, and I want to share all of my great and not so great experiences with you. discuss travel hacks, savings opportunities, bonus miles and much more. If you're into airlines, hotels and travel destinations then come join me. I show you how to travel in style without being rich or breaking the bank.
I quite agree with you. Having flown Garuda Indonesia in Economy two weeks ago, I was quite excited as they marketed themselves as providing a 5-stars experience. However, I felt the whole experience underwhelming. I flew them from Singapore to Semarang VIA Jakarta VV. For the four sectors, I felt that the ground and cabin staff were a tad unmotivated. They would do their job but would not go above and beyond. Even though I am not a big fan of SQ, I felt that their boxed meal tasted better than Garuda's meal. So a bit disappointed there. They would make a solid 4-stars airline but not 5-stars IMO.
I'd have to say I have had quite the opposite experience with KLM from all the times I flew in business class. 1 out of 10 or maybe 2 out of 10 the service by the crew was lackluster but other than that I always had a responsive and attentive crew. I do have to agree with you on the Schengen lounge.
Thank you for sharing your experience. That's so appreciated and beautiful to read. Reviews here are always based on the current flight and I try to render all details as clearly as possible. Happy to hear that among a huge majority of viewers with similar or way more negative experiences, a few people have had a great time in board. KLM used to be a great airline and it would be so nice to see them become a great, proud one again sometime in the future....
I may be wrong, but I think a proper first class like this is unique on a 737. I transferred from an SIA flight BC to Qantas BC. Same plane, A330. I was shocked at the difference in quality, even the seat on QF was smaller. The cabin crew just sort of plonked down the meals and disappeared for nearly all the flight. I even had this experience in QF FC. There were just two of us, and I barely saw the FA at all during the flight. The steak was terrible too.
This was just business class, and Singapore Airlines have an even better one on their similarly small B737Max, with lie-flat bed seats. It's just a great airline, understated (compared to the golf carriers) and simply highest standards
thank you for being so honest, I like KLM, it is a shame all european airlines are being surpassed by the great Asian airlines. You do a great job Mr reporter.
Not sure RU-vid does not show me your content anymore . Even when I search for very relevant content . I have to specifically search your name to find you .
I have flown quite a bit on EVA's business class and I'm no great fan of their wines. My last flight was in April of 2024, so my experience is quite recent. The champagne is great although it's no longer Krug, but the wines were awful. Fine for an apéritif maybe, but awful with food. The service though is wonderful. They could update the lounge in Taipei, it's getting a bit tatty. I'll see what I think of KLM early next year, I have a flight from Paris to Saigon and another from Hanoi to Paris. Always nice to try something new.
And finally i found a youtuber how is critical and honest. So many YT-ers only tell nice stories and are not critical at all which is find so useless and annoying. If i want to watch a fairytale, i will watch a disney movie.... So good job on being honestly ciritical when needed.
It's probably boring to a few, but I really give my best at giving a 1:1 report about the actual experience of the moment, combined with longtime experience with an airline (if I have any with the respective carrier). So, welcome to TravelSingFly! Would be great to have you on board all future flight reports! 😊😊😊
And lets not forget that KLM Bussines class is very expensive. My flight in dec with Qsuit with Qatar is 2200 euro while KLM costs me 3500 euro. The choice is made very easy for me.
I have a feeling that you didn't really watch my report. I'm inviting you to give me the exact timings in the video where I say anything disgusting. I'm confident I don't. I pride myself for making self funded, non commercial, unbiased and especially FAIR reviews here,on a channel that costs me at least ten times of what I make from it. I don't follow any other goal than giving exactly my experience. And you can see yourself in the end of the report how sad I was that I had to give, even though it doesn't matter for the airline and also gives me attacks like yours as a thank you, a non-recommendation. Always based on what else is available on the same or similar route. All positive and negative parts I explain and show in pictures. The audience then can decide themselves. If you carefully read the comments to this report, you will see that almost all transmitters who've been flying KLM recently agreed with my longworded conclusion
Hi Sir, I will be traveling Munich to Chicago in October and wanted to block the private suite for my wife and self. As per your video it’s the 1st and 8th row. Lufthansa call centre here in India says it’s the 2nd and 8th ( and they surely have not much clue ) ; hence asking you ai fe you’ve flown the aircraft and I have seen your entire video
I'd double check the seat map again on the Lufthansa website. But actually they're right: the business class starts with row 2, because there will be a row 1 which will be first class once they furbish the planes with it. So actually it's row 2 and row 8.
I travel quite a lot with KLM in Business. (Because I connect from a regional UK airport) Your assessment is so true. It seems to me that the airline has gone down hill over the last 10 or so years. This is partly due to the bean counters who keep trying to reduce costs by getting more and more inferior products. (The Pad Thai in economy BKK - AMS is in-edible!!). This negative spiral has infected the staff who really do not care. Their first job, before the flight even takes off is to sort out who is gong on break first!! As a FF I don't have to pay extra for seat assignment or lounge access, but at the prices they charge it should be included for Business Class passengers. Great Video. I have subscribed! 👍
Hi and a warm welcome to the channel! Very happy to have you on board TravelSingFly! I'm glad and relieved that so many viewers have had the same experience with KLM like you and me.
Why spend all that in investment of nice porcelain pots and fancy cutlery then absolute rubbish flavours in food, the EU business class is a total disgrace , no meat, fish or bread. All vegan rubbish with this nonsense statement of sustainability. WTF KLM
India is a hot place. Thats why we prefer indian shoes not western shoes, bare feet aren't bad manners in india, but putting feet on chair is, we keep them out of shoes when we dont need them. In home we're barefoot, no socks no slippers. It's not our culture or clothing. Boots are western, sandals are indian. So dont be mean to people intentionally for not embracing foreign culture. Even right now im barefeet strolling in my home. Suits were brought to us by the brits for some reason people still following that suit in Offices rules even in the heat. Should be changed to kurta pajama
Hi and greetings to beautiful, amazing India! I walk barefoot at home, too, of course, and I have nothing against other cultures. On the contrary, they enrich my experiences. Sometimes other habits are a surprise and then I sometimes take it humorously. When it smells of feet in a first class coach, for example, like it did here, or my neigbours would scratch dirt out from under his big toe nails..... (which of course I didn't film!) The other thing with clothes - is a sad result of colonialism that everybody tends to wear Western official clothes today. I never understood that, with so many beautiful styles all over the world....
Very useful report. I am looking to book a comparable flight next year. The messy toilet is unforgivable. It is sad that KLM remains sub-standard as regards staff. I have flown KLM before and had to tell the staff how to do their jobs. After the flight I wrote to the CEO with a polite and honest letter and got a refund. Hopefully KLM will respond here and promise to improve. Thamks.
Thank you very much for taking the Minh to write your feedback and about your own experiences. I don't that KLM's staff will watch my report - however I'd appreciate it... I won't need a refund, as it was a regular service - just unfortunately not on par at all with the competition...... Thank you for watching TravelSingFly! 😊🙏🏻
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition but how can it be, i emailed mena house asking which month of the year is the greenest, and they told me that it is May and June…. In your video trees are full of leaves…
Instead of complaning here on the internet/RU-vid: how about informing the crew about your experience, so they can improve? I never get these kind of videos...
Hi Simon! Thank you for taking the time. I don't get how someone like you, who obviously watches aviation reports, doesn't understand the difference between making a critical review and complaining. Is complain about something if something isn't okay on a flight that I do privately. What I do on camera is a review, not for private reasons, but for informative reasons. When you take the time to really watch the content here on TravelSingFly, you'll see that I always try to make positive reports and also find a good reason and want to understand if things aren't perfect. In this case there were no understandable reasons for the things that weren't great. On top, I do talk with the staff on almost every flight. Also in this one. But I don't continue when I see that there wouldn't be any result and the staff wouldn't like to hear my opinion anyways. Then I just don't address it. But of course, for report I MUST give the unfiltered side of it. That's my duty if I wanna continue making unbiased, reliable airline reviews. I hope this explained a bit my side of making a thorough aviation report. All best wishes. Chris
I don't understand these people who are crying about a seat not reclining, do they sleep in a sofa bed???? Is that it, a bed can't be a bed. It must first be a sofa that you then turn into a "bed".
I do love this seat. However, as I'm saying I'm my report, I understand that a few people, especially those with a weaker body, cannot enjoy it as it can be hard for them to come up again.....
Sorry, t’s probably me, but I find this video way too long and a bit boring too. I also think you are a bit too picky when it comes to certain things. But hey…..that’s my opinion.
Thank you for showing your opinion/feedback. It's always valuable for me to read feedback regarding the report itself. I struggle every time with making the video as short as particle while not losing content. I'm this specific one, I was very sad that I couldn't keep it under 25 minutes. I just didn't manage. I already cut out a lot of takes where I'd talk in detail about the food and the drinks, and also a lot more about the competitors, as I do in many of my other reports, as you might know.... - but that would have been just too much. Howeber, when it comes to service and quality of food and drinks, I think that there's not many excuses for low quality. Better service doesn't cost an airline more money, high quality of food and drinks should be very normal at the super high prices they ask.... I'm of course fair as always, saying in the report that if only the seat is important, then that's a great choice.
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition thanks for your reply! I don’t expect too much when I fly and I am more than happy with meatballs in business class. To be honest, I rather have meatballs than other high cuisine dishes. I just don’t have very high expectation, like most people do. I am more than fine with a choice of 100 movies in stead of 500. I personally think that people nowadays are too spoiled and do not appreciate the small things in life. Everything has to be perfect and the best of the best. Just my opinion……,,,
I'm inviting you to have a closer look at my channel. There's quite a few videos where I show how much I enjoy also flying lowcost, auch as Ryanair and Easyjet. I'm very happy there, too! I am very well aware about just how lucky I am to be able to travel at all! - But: this is a flight/airline review, and I aim at being really useful for the audience of TravelSingFly. Therefore, I have to be as close to the experience and comparing with competition as well, to make sure my audience gets the best possible, most realistic picture, so they can decide for themselves for their respective travel plans.
having flown KLM for many years even in the old Royal Class, food in Business Class now and menu seems to be based on peasant food during the war. South Atlantic service likewise.
I absolutely loved your thorough conclusion at the end! It's really sad to see what has become of a once-great airline. Hopefully they can improve again!
Hi Dan! Wow, real RU-vid royalty has watched my RU-vid aviation report! Thank you 1000 times for the compliments!😍 And yes, it's very sad where KLM is at right now, after auch a proud history.....
