I don't know how you guys do that, I own a 2008 Discovery 3 SE V8 with 99K miles on it , and when the gremlins come knocking on my door, my wallet cries 😢 parts are very expensive and I could never do what you do! Enjoy! Cheers 🍻 🇺🇸
I’m having this (open cell) removed from my attic space (hatch to access attic). How dusty will my house be? Any recommendations to keep dust out of my house ?
The Discovery 4 and the Range Rover Sport are basically the same - with the Disco they dropped a better-looking and more practical body on the chassis and with the sport they dropped a more luxuty equipped body on the chassis. Under the skin they are the same.
Wow. I’m in love with your lr. What is the mode of the terrane response included in this case? What was the transmission gear and is the esp system turned off?
This looks like a nightmare to do. I was looking at buying a house but was told it has expanding foam installation, don't think I'll bother even tho it's s nice house besides that.
It’s always important to have a thorough inspection, I personally wouldn’t buy a property with spray foam in the loft as you are unsure of the condition of the woodwork, felt etc. However if you really wanted it you could ask the seller to have it removed before sale.
@@poleonpoleon706 I bought a 100 year old 4 bedroom house with loft foam insulation last year, and I made it clear to the seller that I wanted a discount on the property because of it. They could not provide any sufficient paper work around the quality of the roof before installation, just some receipts of who did the installation which was not enough. What helped the argument was that there were damp wall areas in one of bedroom and bathroom (right bang in the middle of where there is a roof valley). An inspector would obviously be the best choice but I was strapped for time and needed somewhere to live. The seller dropped 10k off the asking price in the end because of the roof insulation and old boiler system that needed urgent redoing. Since purchase I had the roof patched with some flashing where there were obvious issues, this solved 99% of the damp issue within the cavity walls from the bad roof valley (i literally did this myself with a ladder and adhesive flashing tape from B&Q ). I have yet to take everything apart but after poking some holes ingo the foam, the roof felt and timber is not damp and still healthy. with only same patchy areas were the old leak area is recovering. The boiler was only 2.5k to swap so I have 7.5k for emergency repairs if needed. I have had a quote done for a complete roof renewal, both felt and tiles, which is roughly 15k but we had the roofer say that its mostly unnecessary, as the roof still has another 10 years of life it at least. The moral of the story is that insulation does not always mean bad roof, its just a risk you have to take and hopefully the seller is understanding enough to drop the price. I would have still bought the properly without the 10k reduction but it gave me peace of mind in that I could use that to emergency patch issues where needed and just wait it out 5-10 years for a complete roof renewal.
The Spray foam was only on for 2 months. The customer wanted it removed because the company that sold misled him. Unfortunately nearly every spray foam removal we do there is issues with the roof.
@scscmp Can I ask how much dust this creates in the living space ? I have to get mine removed soon from my attic (with hatch access) and concerned about dust in living space.
Bloody hell…….I would spend at least 20 minutes cleaning the box before I would put the new air filter in……There was so much rubbish around the intake !……….😳
This is being removed as the home owner wanted to get some equity release. Most lenders won’t lend with spray foam insulation. We replaced with 400mm traditional loft insulation which is perfect.
