Dave, thank you for your wonderful sermon on this blessed, holy day . We are reminded of God’s love for us through the ultimate sacrifice of His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life. He is the way, the truth, and the light! Amen!
Our juncture, or crossroads -- Mine are a continuous journey, taking one day at a time. He tells us to pray for wisdom and knowledge, and as we gain more of it, He is patient and stays with us. He wants us to know who God is. Deut 7:6-11 tells us that The LORD God 'is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy ...[who] love Him and keep His commandments..." (v.7) Our juncture, our crossroads can be stimulating and satisfying to the curious mind, it is energizing and even profound if we choose it in our life. He is the Almighty, Eloheim. He says, "Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). Thank you for your lesson!
I enjoyed listening to the reminder that the Lord Fod has the power to heal (Luke 5:17). We are to worshship the Lord God alone. He wants us to think about good thoughts. And,as in Numbers 11, God is angry at the people of Israel who lacked contentment for the things He had given them when leading them theough the wilderness into the Promise Land. He wants us to have disipline and care for what He provides us. He says to bear fruit with patience. Do not codem, but encourage ohers. Your sermon ran paarallel to my Sabbath studies in Numbers 11. Thank you Dave.
Loved the lesson about "values" and deeply appreciated drawing the parallel between today's teaching in1 Cor. 10:31-11:1 and the Old Testament (Deuteronomy). It is the Old Testament that God (Hashem) created all things, giving us His laws and commandments in which to live by. He says, "...be imitators of me as I am with Christ" (1 Cor. 10:31-11:1). It is through Christ (Yeshua), the Son of God that we can have everlasting life . Thank you for your lesson! .
