Thank you for the detailed explanation, I have one question I hope you have time to answer it ! Is it possible to upgrade the battery, like getting bigger battery?!
Where did you get that mounting bracket for the battery? I have the same cart using a different battery though if that makes any difference. Thanks for the video it was great and will be using it as a guide for my install.
I just finshed installing the conversion kit. Everything went well. I used a Dremmel tool to make the meter hole larger. I used a sabre saw with a metal blade to remove the cross member. If there is a redo on the video, elaborate on the "blue wire" and provide a length pf blue wire and the larger ring terminals in the kit. Walmart sells an acrylic cutting board you can cut to fit both spaces for around $10.00. Everything tested out and the mower works great. The video was essential. I went through two sets of Leoch batteries. I was then told by the local golf cart battery replacement people that the batteries were being over charged. I don't know if that was the actual case, but last year I started to unplug the charger after the light was solid and they then lasted until now. I am thrilled with the conversion. Thanks for the kit and info.
Is this replacement battery from Japan or from China? Which company makes it? Have you had any issues at all with this particular replacement battery? Thank you.
How close are you to Florida? I have a 2009 Escalade Hybrid that I may need to have rebuilt, or I’m fairly mechanically and electrically inclined, I could just rebuild the battery if you could provide the kit model number I need
Just a helpful comment on an issue i ran into that none of these install videos mentioned for a pre 2000 club car ds with resistor. When removint the oem charging port a wire from the v glide to the charging port will be unhooked which will prevent the cart from moving forward and backword. If you connect that wire from the v glide directly to the negative side of the lithium battery it will solve that issue. Hope this helps at least one person because apparently i was the first person to ever run into this issue on the history of the internet 😅
Is there a package that all these parts come in together or do you have to order everything separately? If it's a package how can I order it and where from?
Thanks for the vid. I installed lithium batteries a few years ago. I wired an off brand adaptor for my Club Car Precedent. It ended up overheating. I decided to setup onboard, but I'm unsure what to do with the ground wire since there are three wires coming from the charger.
Hi Palmetto Battery Pros. I have a few questions: What gauge wire did you use for the Blue wire that you connected to the positive terminal? Someone in the comments said they used a blue 16-14 gauge butt splice to attach a sufficient length of 16 gauge (AKA AWG) wire to it, and then added a 5/16" 16-14 gauge ring terminal to the end of the extension. Do you have a video or instructions on how to do this with Model RY48ZTR75 (75 AH 42" Zero Turn Electric Riding Mower)?
Hey gang, I just bought this and "successfully completed" the conversion. The PTO works fine. However, it doesn't move forward or backward. Any thoughts?
Anyone know how much this conversion would cost on average? Debating whether to just cut my loss and sell my mower as is. My Batteries are shot already
I have a 2007 Lexus RX 400h the vehicle does not go to the ready position and would not start until one of the battery (hood) poles is taken out and put back. Does any one knows how to fix this problem. The problem started when the vsc light came on .
How did you connect up the cables for reverse? Reverse only uses 18 volts in the older DS models and it was wired that way from factory. I am aware that with the single 36v lithium battery that I will see full speed in reverse, but I don't really understand how to connect the wiring for reverse on the direction selector.
Thanks for making such an awesome video , just replaced the hybrid battery myself on Toyota camry hybrid 2016 model . Im in Australia so the battery configuration was on opposite side but followed the steps from the video and it went great.
Completed this install with no issues, was working great. After a few days, the LCD screen quit. Looked all over, checked connections, no luck. Saw some people may have had gauge failures, can anyone confirm?
The install looks good except for the Safety Aspect. I would have expected some sort of battery terminal protection with those upright metal posts being not far away. This could be done with a simple design 3D Part for the battery and a backup in the form of a post protection part to keep any shorting if that battery comes loose. I designed one for each of the Epoch batteries that replaced the House Batteries in my RV because of a similar issue but the metal it struck was much farther away. Freak accident!
The eco website says i need an "eco battery tech tool, sold separately". What is this. Also, i went to a cart dealer and i was told that i need a reflashb, otherwise my kart would do a sudden stop if i ran out of batteries, and that it could be dangerous. I didnt see any reflash. Is that because of the new cluster. And last thing, will the icon software will still work to make changes to improve speed? Thanks!
I just ordered the conversion kit. I'm excited about getting a battery where I don't have to worry about my mower dying after 20 minutes (on a good day), but I'm PO'ed having to do this. I used to be a big Ryobi fan as I have a lot of Ryobi products. My push mower is a Ryobi electric mower. Everything I had from them was lithium, so I assumed (yeah, I know) this mower followed their other lines of products. I do lots of research on large purchases and the reviews were almost universally highly rated and I liked Ryobi products so I figured I would go electric without much of a second thought. I can't wait to get back to the days were my Ryobi mower worked great.
