@22:25 this suggests that if the pilot finds themselves in a situation, panics, and pushes a button that seems like its going to help with icing, they could be forcing engine one (prop 1) to wait a substantially longer period of longer time to receive the benefit of any kind of blade heat anti-icing on the primary means of propulsion? My good god. In normal blade anti ice mode, each engine at least sees some heat every 20-30 seconds. In what I would call Panic mode, when the pilot hits that MODE SELECT button, that engine might have to wait, what... 60 seconds? If thats the case, im signing a company travel policy to not let any of us use any ATR aircraft ever again.
