LET'S NOT FORGET WHO STARTED THESE TALENTED FILLED ICONIC HALF TIME SHOWS...DR FOSTER FROM THE 1950'S. THE OTHER BANDS FOLLOWED SUIT YRS LATERFAMU HAS A DISTINCT CLEAR SOUND. YOU CANNOT HEAR THE WOODWINDS OR PICCALO'SOVER THE BRASS INSTRUMENTS IN NO OTHER BAND. THIS BAND IS FOREVER IMITATED AND NEVERDUPLICATED. IF YOU KNOW MUSIC, YOU LISTEN FOR QUALITY AND LOOK FOR PRECISION.FAMU STARTED IT ALL. FAMU IS THE LAST WORD.. THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD...HENCE THE TITLE"THE UNITED STATES BAND". THE OTHER HBCU'S ARE GOOD. I GIVE THEM CREDIT. WE ARE A TALENTEDPEOPLE, BUT THE OSCARS, ROSE BOWL, PARIS, 20/20, CNN, ETC ALL BYPASS YALL AND WENT TO TALLAHASSEEFLORIDA. WOW! BCU sound AMAZING! That dance routine was very clean. I hate bands who try and dance and look sloppy as hell doing so. Not Bethune, the WHOLE band dances and plays amazingly well doing so. It isn't easy playing an instrument, dance and then sound incredible at the same time. Awesome job Bethune!
3:49 No, she did not just say "Holy Sh#####t!" LOL! I just love the way our HBCU bands bring it with great showmanship and sound quality, and jam while doing it! I believe the Marching Chiefs respected what they saw and heard on the field. Nicely done, BCU!
It's called the"War Chant" NOT the tomahawk!!!! LOL!! Some thought BCU honored it by playing it, many others thought you mocked it rudely. No matter... it is often imitated but NEVER, EVER duplicated!!!! Nice try though.
