I'm from Buenos Aires. My husband, Jack, was English (unfortunately, he passed away last year) We met each other on Facebook. Our first conversation was about the love that we had for our respective countries; he used to love Argentina (he was a Tottenham fan like Steve in this video, and a Boca Juniors fan) and I've been an Anglophile since I was a teenager. He always stated that Malvinas (Falklands) are Argentinian... Now I have family and friends in England, and I try to go every time I can. I absolutely love England and its people. Muy buenos días ojalá todo vaya muy bien para todos. Los británicos sostienen que la palabra final la tienen los habitantes de las islas, que en su mayoría son descendientes de británicos y no es válido. Con el mismo argumento antes de devolver Honk Kong a China les deberían haber preguntado a eso británicos si querían pasar a ser ciudadanos de un estado totalitario y no lo hicieron. La realidad era militar en caso de conflicto Gran Bretaña tenía muchas posibilidades de vencer a Argentina. En caso de un conflicto con China las probabilidades eran mucho menores por el esfuerzo logístico que implicaba la defensa de ese territorio y los medios humanos y militares con los que ya contaban por aquel entonces las fuerzas armadas chinas. Lo cierto es que la desicion tomada por la junta militar SIN MENOSPRECIAR EL ESFUERZO Y HEROISMO DE LAS FUERZAS ARMADAS ARGENTINAS, fue incorrecto. Hecho por tierra el proceso de acercamiento que se había iniciado desde 1970 por el cual se construyó la pista en el aeropuerto, se los proveia de combustibles a través de ypf, de asistencia médica, iban maestras argentinas a enseñar español a las islas. Políticamente fue un error. Creo que Aldo Rico dijo las Malvinas volverán a sobernia Argentina cuando les demostremos a los isleños que les conviene ser Argentinos. Hoy en dia estamos lejos de eso. Have they ever been to the Falklands?
