@DeLishaKoime-qt3mn The amount of packs used is more so based on the size of the head, the density of hair, brand used and sometimes the length. If you're speaking of how many just for the front rows then I'd say two packs.
You pull out your natural hair from inside the lock at the base, then cut off the lock hoop part. Or if you cut the hoop at the base, the lock should be able to slide off your real hair.
