This was one of the best bands from England these dudes thru down, they were real tight. I saw them at rams head Annapolis Great fuckin show Thanks guys 😎👍
Love this song and the performance, But Vox is too low in the mix as Cathain 78 states! Ever since I first heard this song on Taggart way back, I have wanted to know who the musicians were on the original recording, but have never found out. Has anyone out there got any idea please. Maybe Hugh Burns on guitar (scottish connection?!)
Andy Powel´s band did a top job on that track for some years ago. Its here on youtube and and Andy show howe to play the solo live... spot on and ofcourse with a gibson. They allso did a abolut desent job on the vocal, fare better than Martins pure band
He didn´t even sing. One of the vokals were playback unless it was the drummer. The solo in the middle was boring as the players look, jesus pick up a Gibson and try to do it right... The guy with the strat did a nice job in the end solo. Hes second voise (live) was fair but absolutly not more than that. Even Martin´s bass line was good as usual they still ruined a top track from wishbone ash
and Martin without Andy, Ted.... Martin's WA, in the...fundamental...guitars section, is inferior to all the versions Andy put together and that for me, an old fan, makes a lot of difference.
These guys are the most underrated rock band staple of the older times.. and they are a mutual interest band of my dad and myself with a 32 year age gap... So many and much love..
