A son arrivée à Grenoble, Benjamin Kuperberg a suivi une formation à l'ARIES (Ecole Supérieur D'Infographie) à l'école en 2D / 3D / Effets spéciaux, et s'est auto-formé en parallèle en programmation. Diplômé en 2008, il a commencé son activité de programmeur / 3D indépendant. Dès 2009, il a travaillé avec les Studios « Donuts », pour ensuite, monter son premier prototype de table tactile. Il a créé la SARL « The Curious Project » en février 2011, agence innovante et interactive dont il est associé, et décide d'en partir en été 2013 afin de centrer son activité sur les projets artistiques. En parallèle, il suit depuis 2009 une formation de direction d'orchestre au Conservatoire Jean Wiener à Echirolles.

Hello Benjamin, I really like the Blux workflow and sure it's different from what we're used! I've been watching your videos twice to try to understand. My only doubt it's about the single scene list, it seems that you conceive a performance in a linear time sequence but it's not always the case, there are occasions when is easier or necessary to have more than one list. Could it be a workaround to launch more instances of Blux? Throught Chataigne? Also, because the software has an abstract approach, are you planning to implement the import/export of recorded functions or objects? It's a feature that let you save a good amount of time. Looking forward for some Blux updates, and really curious for an occasion to try it soon. Regards.
Salut Benjamin, Bravo et merci pour ton travail sur Châtaigne et Blux. 🙏 Dans ton tuto et dans la version stable actuelle, le plan 2D est en miroir par rapport au plan 3D. Je ne vois pas d'explication logique, donc je pense que tu ne l'as pas remarqué ? Je pars du principe que le plan 2D est vu du dessus et que le damier du plan 3D c'est le sol. Juste ? Là tu disposes tes moving en forme de sourire de 0 à 5 (5:18) et quand tu bouges ton 0 (9:14) par exemple, tu remarques qu'il est certes toujours à gauche, mais là ton sourire est inversé en miroir sur ton axe Z. En passant : je comptais tester blux sur une petite prod pro cette semaine, voir ce que ça donne en conditions réelles 🙂

Mmh je ne sais pas trop je n'ai jamais testé sur Mac à vrai dire. Es-tu bien sur la dernière version 1.2.1b1 ? et est-ce que tu as autorisé l'App à créer des connexions externes ?
@benkuper Oui! J'ai testé la dernière et avant-dernière version. Tous deux sont autorisés à accéder aux applications externes. Dans la vidéo que j'ai envoyée, vous pouvez voir que le pan et tilt marchent bien, même le spot s'éclaire, sauf les movings. Merci et à bientôt
This looks very interesting, useful and promising. A few months ago, I discovered Chataigne and love this great software. Now I can finally do projects that i wanted to do for a long time, but I didn't have the right tool to connect different software and controllers. I'm looking forward to the further blux tutorials and will try out the software soon.

As the two devices (PC and Mobile Phone) on the same network? Without third party software/app. This would be amazing!

This is amazing. Is it possible to control Resolume video parameters using more than one input from a sound card? For example, input 1 rotate X, input 2 rotate Y, input 3 control opacity level and do on… I would like to be able to have several musicians manipulate video. External FFT doesn’t seem to be able to split the inputs (yet).
