@@jhillmer Looks like its gone. Took this excerpt from an article written about it in 2019. "In February 2016, the property was purchased to become the HNA Conference Center. In September 2019, the Chinese investors were negotiating sale of the property to a private group from Brooklyn, but the deadline to close the deal passed in November [2019]."
Mr. Sheridan what motivated you to play the Eb Tuba for Solo pieces instead of the F Tuba? I'm a College student at Loyola university in N.O. and one of the local Music stores has an Eb Sausaphone on sale for $500.00. I actually started out on a Eb sausaphone when I was in the 7th. Grade. Hearing you play the Eb Tuba, causes me to think twin about learning the CC tubas, and F tubas and just focus on my BBb, which I know very well, and now the Eb tuba since I remember some of the fingering.

I like your approach for this video. Not your typical hiking video. In fact I would say it's probably not a hiking video. Love how you showed off the wild life and flowers. Thank you.
Very nice video. But is there some way to label each image so the view knows just what they are looking at? Like what bird, plant, etc? It would be really beneficial. Thanks
Odd, I will have to ask my ornithologist friend; most birds are more active either at dusk or at night, not both, and before dawn... I can't even think of an animal that would make that type of sound, some of our frogs make odd noises but I don't think you can hear those across a lake. a boat bouncing in the waves rubbing against a pier??
MY friend says: "My rule of thumb with birds is that it is a Red-tailed Hawk until proven innocent. My other thought is an osprey, which would fit the lake habitat. Both have what I would call a prehistoric call. Otherwise, it could be some other animal. When camping with friends in Black River State Forest for a number of years, we heard a terrifying scream at night almost every year, -- after years of hearing it, we finally saw what is was -- a deer. Yes, deer are noisy at night."
We just moved to Wisconsin from Florida and watched your video to help identify some of the wildlife here. Where we are there are a wide variety of birds - even numerous bald eagles, owls, and hawks. I have been trying to find an answer: what kind of bird calls out during the night frequently in a way that sounds almost what I would think a Pterodactyl would sound? It echoes across the lake and sounds very errie. Can you identify this bird for me? Thanks in advance! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Thanks for the note; in the winter, we have fewer birds around here, but the fall and spring bring lots to the State due to migrations that come through here! Summer is great too, and it's fun to see birds from time to time that you were familiar with in Florida, Pelicans, Egrets, various species of Swans, etc., and of course lots of Eagles on the rivers and Hawks, Vultures (Turkey Vultures mostly) and Osprey, etc. Lots of tiny ones, warblers, even humming birds. Thanks for posting Mr. Hillmer. That was an awesome display of low-brass power. My daughter just started playing baritone 3 months ago and loved this concert --next year she wants to participate!
Hello! I would just like to day I really enjoyed the video! I have school civics project coming up and was wondering if I could use this video to show some of the wildlife in the Marsh. Thanks in advance!
I have performed at the Columbus, OH show multiple times. I have since stopped because I have handed down my horn to my niece(woohoo next generation bandie!). I miss the power of all the tubas, euphoniums, and baritones playing in beautiful harmony. I just closed my eyes and listened. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have that feeling again.
+Lindsey Cannon I've just started playing in Columbus the past couple years. I had wanted to sooner, just nervous and its a bit of a drive for me. But, finally took the plunge. Glad I did. Trying to organize a local concert in my hometown now. Though it may be a little late in the year to pull it off. But, maybe in 2016.
It's from a piece of music that I came across 2 years ago when our high school's band performed some music that was based on a collection of music used to tell the true story of a Christmas Truce in 1914, in WWI. It has a very relaxing and simple place to it, and it just fit for this purpose.
Haha. I was the red A. I got down there and realized I had forgotten my backpack. My backpack had my music and my mouthpiece. I was lucky they had plastic ones for sale there cuz I'm from Wausau. It was a good time, though. btw, if anyone is wondering, the S was a helicon played by the guy in the top hat. He had to go up and talk sometimes, so the S isn't always visible.
Another wonderful Andover organ. Perfect sound for a Lutheran Seminary chapel IMHO. I was always sorry I never got to visit it when I was doing my apprenticeship with Andover -working with bob Reich and Bob Newton. Thanks for posting this gem!
@funboy7979 Good question! I guess it was a "travel" shirt. The "blackshirt" refers to a school tradition going back years that syarted with their football team.
