GRASSER PRODUCTION consists of a young interviewer, writer team and camera operator. Our main goal is to contribute to the music scene through different aspects. We committed ourselves to producing interviews, play through videos, drum cams and tour documentaries in the rock and heavy genre, thereby covering all types of small underground concerts to big headliner shows.
Based in Nuremberg our catchment area also includes Munich, Stuttgart as well as Leipzig. During the last couple of years, we got the chance of interviewing well-known bands such as GOJIRA, CHILDREN OF BODOM, IN FLAMES, AFTER THE BURIAL, PAPA ROACH, ESKIMO CALLBOY, J.B.O., WOVENWAR etc. Besides our interviews in English and German we also worked together with single artists such as Hannes Großmann. All our footage (from interview to play through videos) can be watched on our website, the GRASSER PRODUCTION RU-vid channel, our facebook page as well as on the homepages of Meinl, TAMA and sickdrummermagazine.
This chick has no idea who she's interviewing.. probably never heard of him or slapshot..ot any of the other bands he was in..She just seems to much like a regular reporter.
Jaska Raatikainen recently shared a funny story about this song: When they were recording this back in the 90's, he had problems with insane 200bpm tempo and double bass parts in the studio. After many failed attempts, the frustrated drummer turned to Alexi Laiho and asked him if they could possibly reduce the tempo because he felt it was impossible to get the double bass right. Alexi was very strict about the arrangement as usual and refused to make any changes, but after long and exhausting negotiations he finally gave up and agreed to drop the tempo all the way to... 199 bpm. He told Jaska that was all the help he was gonna get, so Jaska had no chance but to raise his playing to the next level and eventually he nailed the song . Says a lot about the integrity and passion of the band at that time when they were still pretty much kids.
I kinda wish that one day, though it really sounds impossible... Like I wish that they both are working on a song together, like a collaboration... Just the two of them, without the previous band members...
I came here for the girl even though I don't understand what are they saying at all. She is a giant compared to me as I am a south Asian, at the same time she is cute
Super Mario is what fans call him. His technique is just mind blowing. I watch him play and enjoy every minute. I go out of my way to find the "drum cam" videos of Mario playing. He looks like Animal from the muppet show except he is only looking like Animal when he headbangs. The head keeps time with the feet and the hands do something completely different. It's a lot of stress on one body and mind to get that all straight I imagine. I kind of picture Mario thinking about what's for supper after the show sometimes even when he's really working those drums hard. lol I love that Magma is my first Gojira album and I'm a mother of metalheads too. It's a beautiful album.
Listening to it in 2024 makes me so sad because all of them were so on point with their stuffs in this live esp Alexi with his Vocals was top notch as is the rest of the band. Rip Alexi, Rip COB
