While I believe you made good points. We do need to check our missionaries. We are all special in the king of God and serving working at a gas station or being a head pastors both hold the same value. I would however disagree that those who go out and leave their home and their life are not suppose ask for financial support. In matthew, Jesus sent out discipline tell them to leave everything behind and depend on the generosity of other and God to provide for their need. That however doesn't mean they didn't work and serve along the way. Some probably join labors to build relationship, share the gospel, and receive the hospitality and generosity of others. The financial support we now raise is to make a journey like theirs a litttle less harsh. The mission trip that you are talking about we aren't suppport these people so that they can save and help others in a different country. Although we are praying it an add benefit. We doing it as a way to teach them to do at it home and strengthen there relationship with God. It easier to step out of your comfort zone in an unfamiliar enviroment. Which allow them to experience God in a new way. Therefore changing their perpective and relationship with God. There power in also knowing that God can take an impossiable number amd take care of it. Those who grow up in a poor household. Who can't spend every waking hour working to go on trip because the money they make has to go to the house. They are see God love in the gift we are giving for them to go on a trip to serve him.

Today at age 50 my chores consist of washing the car, steam vacuuming carpets doing laundry, cooking and mowing the lawn and the toughest one is putting the groceries away up a flight of stairs and also cleaning dog poo, feeding the dog, walking the dog plus washing cars.
My chores consisted of polishing the living room furniture, helping my mom fold laundry, wash dishes and massage my mom's tired feet with Avon creams that came in a round pod while she was talking to her best friend on the telephone.
