If someone could shoot a 1inch target at 100yds with every shot, would it be impressive if it they hit the same 1" target with 1 out of 4 shots @ 200yds after using 5 shots to get it dialed in? I don't think so. Its the same level of precision, but it doesn't come across as impressive when 75% of the shots are misses. Not exactly apples to apples, but you get the idea. You have a setup that could hit that target with every shot at 2 miles. Going out to 4 miles, using 60 shots to dial in, and show that the setup can miss 75% of the time isn't exactly shocking.
The exact MOA correction for each variable seems like a guess at best. If you could decifer exactly how much each variable was affecting the bullet then it wouldnt have taken 60 shots to walk it in.
2MOA groups. Do you figure thats 1/2MOA from the rifle+shooter, so 1.5MOA from environment variation? 2MOA groups, 1MOA target. So after dialing it all in you were hitting the target 1 out of 4 shots? 1 in 16 chance for 2 in a row.
Hello sir, I am having a great debate with a friend concerning long range shooting. My friend believes that long range snipers have to take in account earth curvature. Could you tell me if he is wrong please ?
So, if you're using the 416 barrett ammo, what are the rifles? Are Lothar Walther barrels good performers? What type or brand is the action. What are those wierd looking doohickys in front of the scope, some version of Horus vision enhancement and sight alignment apparatus? I used to have a Watson weapons big bear 50bmg but i sold her because some dude gave me enough money to buy it, but fates fickel pickle didn't help me track down a new one, i have several questions, but im good for the moment. Keep shooting and enjoying, oh and filming too. Ps i love the barret 416, but not theprict
This is a lie. You can't hit a target that far. You cant see the target at all. How do you calculate the wind? How do you know from which direction the wind comes in 3.5 mile distance?
@@brucefredrickson9677 Yes. We ran a 27' Eliminator tunnel hull with twin V8 Johnsons up the river from New Orleans to St. Louis. About 1038 miles by water. Bill was the throttle man on that. Unusual name so I just wondered if there was a family relation.
Working on a build for prs at the moment. Can't wait to work my way into f-class and eventually elr, long road ahead but I hope one day I can make impacts like you guys!
