In early 2012 I realised that I have Asperger Syndrome. A strange thing to realise, believe me. Over the following weeks and months the events of my life began to make more sense to me than ever before. I decided to make a few videos about myself as I go through the experience of being diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome as an adult.
I hope that this will be a good method by which to document myself, in a way that I am comfortable with, so that others may potentially benefit from my experience, or at least enjoy the ride with me.
I made the decision not to tell my friends that I have Aspergers until I receive the 'official' diagnosis. These videos are therefore also a means by which I can "come out" to them, albeit in a somewhat theatrical manner. It's not as though there's a standard way of doing this!
I hated this stuff when I was a kid. Now, it strikes me as absolutely brilliant. The verse is mostly in Cm, but the orchestra hits are actually C major, then somehow find ourselves in Ab going to the minor 5th a couple of times, a walkup to the B, then C# and we land on an E up to the Ab minor. This is genius, but it was way over my adolescent head that couldn't get over their hairdos lol. This music is deceptively complex, and you don't really see anyone doing anything remotely close to this in contemporary popular music.
I love this song and the movie faults and all. Its a guilty pleasure for me because i grew up watching the Bond films on cable when i was a kid and it was always a Roger Moore and Sean Connery film. Every now and then I'd see OHMSS or the two Dalton films. But it was always Roger Moore I'd see on TV until Goldeneye came out. I love it and not ashamed. Sadly almost every actor in this film have passed on besides Christopher Walken and Grace Jones. May they rest in peace.
In the summer of 1985, I was stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia. This song, and the motion picture itself, came out at that time. I went to go see this movie during its original release. That, and Rodney Dangerfield’ “Back To School”. Dire Strait’s “Money For Nothing” was climbing the Top 40 charts.
"The lover's rose is tame".. The Victorian euphemism for cunnilingus was " Taking the rose" the rose" being you know what. That's why Hearst got so angry about "Rosebud" in "Citizen Kane". That's what he called his lover's....
" Dance into the fire.". I thought that pain to us was pleasure to the Devil. Hence why he and his angels would dance into the fire , the ultimate pleasure for them. But how wrong was l , l realised actually that is the most agonising pain he or anyone could have. And Eternal agony at that. " Narrow is the path to life and few travel upon it." *The Chosen Few*.
Someone has put clips from Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask to this song. The video starts with a poster hanging in a town. It reads that a band called "The Indigo-go's" will be performing. If you're interested, find it here and enjoy!
Que vocalista emblemático, sua voz, ecoa junto a tecnologia do Studio e ao vivo ao mesmo tempo, e junto a equipe fazendo um trabalho formidável, a banda é incrível.
